have ability to process and filter online data by processing machine learning into natural

problem and making use of advanced technology, health care and social care sector requires
focusing on some areas which include: data based planning, service type recognition on the basis
of characteristics of epidemic, allocation of financial resources for addressing this current
situation. Health workers also required to be trained in order to meet people’s demand, providing
extra care as per their needs as with advanced technology and resources, it also plays an

professionals able to face this situation in an effective manner but still we cannot forget all
problems which is increasing due to covid-19. This current problem and increasing rate of
patients is affecting this sector to the great extent. In the regards to effects of covid-19 on this
sector, it can be said that it is increasing patient stay rate in hospitals. Around 67% intensive care

Safeguarding infection control
It has not only affected patient stay, occupied beds rate but also it is affecting health and
career pathway and current situation of health care professional, Nurses and doctors have to give
extra working hours or work extended shifts for a day and 2. Some ICU patients are being moved
to another units due to lack of ICU beds availability. One of the main effects which have been

willingness of working in this sector and abilities of handling any type of cases or dealing with

in this health care sector because of some factors record-low unemployment rates as well as high
workforce non-participation rate. And in the regards to this current situation it can be said that
due to high risk and work load, staff turnover rate in this sector is increasing and affecting career
in this sector as a whole.
Health and safety act 1974: This act is the primary piece of legislation which covers
occupational safety and health. There are some general duties and objectives within it which
needs to be followed by healthcare professionals such as: protecting people from risks, ensuring
health and safety of patients and their family members (Sirrs, 2016).
Equality act: As per this act, health care professionals are allowed to provide equal and
fair treatment to their entire patient whether they are physically ill, mentally ill, adults, child and
women. Patients have right to take fair treatment and improve their health in an effective
manner.

negative manner and for that it is important to train staff and also make use of advanced
technologies.
