INTRODUCTION
Innovative thinking is doing the things in a new way or doing new things altogether is
known as innovative thinking. Innovative thinking can lead the audience to a wrong direction but to
make that right would be calling it creative thinking. Innovative thinking process consist of three
factors which are creativity, implementation and development. Innovative thinking is required to get
the work done with new ideas and new ways to get the work done because with the change in world
the customers are looking for new ways to get there work done because innovative ideas are getting
in more customers than ever which means the company's are making profits. There are different
types of innovative thinking which includes different approaches and techniques which are easily
learnt by anyone so that they can practice them. There are a lot of course which are available for the
people so that they can learn innovation and creativity.
In this study we will be talking about Innovation strategy's, innovation leadership, business
plan, creative thinking, etc so that we can understand what is required for the King Edward Vll
college to improve so that they can expand and become popular and increase there number of
students. They already have innovative methods of teaching, competitive pricing structure and art
facilities of the state. This study is about my opinion as to what changes i would want to get in so
that the college can do better. I will the operations manager at the college and i will put in my best
to get the changes which are very important for the college.

Trends-
King Edward Vll college is not doing bad at all because it has innovative methods of
teaching, art facilities of the state and competitive pricing structure whioch is making the college
do good with what it has. The courses they are offering are modern learning for the students which
are management, human resource, marketing and international business. The trend of the new
courses in this college are up to date and this is what makes this college one of the best in the state.
The college has a strength of 195 students and 25 staff members which is a great strength for a
college which has recently started. King Edward Vll college has come into operation in 2010 and
having this stregth of strudent and staff is very good for any college in just few years. Using
innovative methods for teaching is a very good step taken by the facility and is very much a trend
and that can attract a lot of students to this institute (Dincer, Hacioglu and Yüksel, 2018).

Organisational Culture-
The culture of Melbourne is trying to promote higher studies in there country and the
courses this college has are very trending and are new topics which people want to study. The
facility is playing a major role in promoting this college because they are using methods which asre
innovative so that the students can study more and learn more which is easier for them (Albors-
Garrigos, Igartua and Peiro, 2018). The culture of Melbourne is very good and the people over there
are very much modern and it is one of the biggest cities of the country so the courses which the
students of that area would be looking forward for this kind of studies. The culture has changed and
the organisations want to become more professional when they work so these courses are very
much important.
Techniques and Tools-
There are lot of techniques and tools which are used to increase the innotavtion in the
college and few of them which i would like to suggest as a operational manager are as follows-
Convergence tools-
In this process everyone can speak whatever they feel like so that there is a clarity of work
for the organisation to follow. The mindset for this process is not on ideas which are generating but
rather on the analysis and synthesis on the ideas. Many may think that this method of innovation is
not good but it is very important if innovation is supposed to be got in.
Divergent tools-
In this tool there are new ideas which are put forward and no one can make fun of them and
would be repected by everyone. This is done in a short time span so that the ideas do not have any
boundaries and are easily flowed in the business. In this process anyone can speakd and whatever
they want can be put forward. This way the college operational team will get better ideas as to what
others think and what field the college should be working upon.
Barriers and Risks-
There are high risks in maintaining the innovation methods which are used because
innovation are always new ideas or getting things done in a new way so risks are very high (Zartha
and et.al., 2018). The barriers for innovation are that if people will like the changes which are
coming in and they will accept the changes.
Innovation workplace conditions-
There is already innovation which is being used in the college therefore getting in more
changes in the college will not be a problem because they are used to the changes which have to be

got in. The workplace and the students are very much ready to accept the changes and they too help
in the innovative thinking process so that they can make the college improve on some more points
so that they can become even more better.
Innovation Drivers and Enablers-
Innovation drivers-
 The Team- the team plays an important role for driving the innovation in the college because
as the operation manager i will only be able to make the decisions and the innovations which
are coming in the college but it is my team which will help me get those ideas into motion.
 The Individual- There decisions are taken by me but i have to make sure that all the
individuals of the organisation are following those motions and actions so that the college
can run better and improve.

There has to be group meetings with all the staff members which is 25 in number and make
everyone speak openly so that there is a decision which can be taken out so that the college can
work upon it. The internal and external factors play an important role for innovation in the college.
The internal factors are the staff and the students and the external factors are the market, other
colleges, etc (Gunawardena, Frechette and Layne, 2018). The satisfaction of both is very important
to make the college a success which is my main aim but getting in innovation which might attract
more students.
Leadership style-
As the operational team I would like to get in few changes for which I will have to have
some leadership qualities so that I can make everyone follow the decisions and steps I have taken
for the betterment of the college. I will make everyone talk in the decision making so that everyone
is involved in this process and feel a part of the college very much and then i will make them talk
positive steps which are supposed to be taken if the betterment has to come in. No one will be
allowed to make fun of anyone's ideas and respect and support everyone equally (Bai, 2018).

college has to get in more ideas to get more students because there strength right now is 195
students which needs to increase because its been 9 years since this college has come into operation.

People who have a hearing problem or speaking problem too can go to normal
colleges and there are no facilities for this problem and the college will have to get translators for
them to make these kind of students feel like they are part of the same college. Though the regular
students may not like this process but things like these will have to get accepted by the colleges.
Being fair to all the students will be one of my main aim and giving them whatever facilities they
need will be on my priority list (Schopfel, Roche and Hubert, 2015).
Making new promotions for making the people aware of the courses and the facilities this
college is providing with will be my priority list. Having just 195 students is too low because its
been 9 years since this college came in to operation and they need to increase the students in the
college because the facilities they are providing is too high and the students are very low in the
college. The problems the students have are that theyare not given proper guidance with the process
for admission or any other forms they are supposed to fill so the college will give them guidance
through mails and other social medias so that they are well aware of the things whioch are
happening in the college and the problems of the students can easily be solved. The students of the
college will not face any problems regarding the college and the facilities they need will be given to
them.

Vision- The vision i have for this college are very high. I want to make this college have
twice the students they have this year so that they can become one of the best in the city and slowly
become the best in the world. Small steps will take this college to greater heights and the students
will feel very comfortable in this college.
Objectives- The aim and mission i ahve for this university is that the college students and
staff should get the best of facilities and should feel comfortable in this college. The facilities the
students and staff need should be given to them by the college and the environment of the college
will be upgraded so that it gives a friendly and homely environment to the students.
Updating of innovation strategy
The facility and the students must have meetings regarding the innovations and additions taking
place in the college so that the college is not investing in things which the students do not want and
will not be popular amongst them. Meetings can make the college work better and make more
additions which will be useful for the college because the students will be able to give the actual
inner scenario of the college. Marketing and website updates will have to be done before starting
with the new projects and even after the projects are completed so that the new students who are
taking admission in the college will know and this can even attract more students in the college.
Innovation practices, Processes and Products\services
Three ideas i wouuld like to use in this college are-
 Sports- The sports facilities in the college are not so good and the students have been
complaining about it from a long time. There is just a basket ball field in the campus and
there are no other sports in the college. The college is going to invest in sports so that the

students can not just focus on studies always but other productive activities so that they can
feel like working more and more. Sports will keep them fit physically and mentally they will
get more active.
 Translators- The college wants to get in people who are unable to hear or are blind because
they also have right to education (Zhou and et.al., 2017). People who have such problem
will need a translator so that the education can reach them since the portfolio of this college
says that they are fair to all there students and they will never want to be unfair to such
students. Extra classes will be held so that these students can take these classes and be with
the regular students on the same level as they are.
 Activities- The college is also going to get in activities like music, theatre, dance, adventers,
etc so that the students can get out there talent and to get out of the study mode. This can
help the students to get relaxed doing these activities and sometimes relaxing is a must for
the human body. To continue to study the students need to focus on other activities too so
that they can improve over all and not just few fields of life.

The communication methods for spreading the word around that we have made these
changes in the college is very important because otherwise how will all the students be aware of
these factors. The college who has taken these decisions also have to put in decisions to spread the
word around and the method they should be using. The methods the college should use have to be
very modern so that they can make the students aware of the new programmes they arecoming up
with. The modern methods they can use are social media platforms such as facebook, instagram,
whatsapp, etc. The college could also send out mails regarding this in detail so that the students are
aware of these factors which are going to take place (Relano and Paulet, 2016). Even the parents of
the students of the college should be aware of these factors so that if they students have missed out
on these factors then the parents can talk to them about it and also the parents must know the
innovation or addition which is coming up in college since they should know what there students
are getting involved in.

Benchmarking-
This is one of the major factor which plays a very important role in coming up with any
project in the college. Benchmark is put to that the organisation knows what goals and objectives
they have aimed and how much they are achieving if compared to that. This will make them realise
that the work is going slow or the grow is very little or high in that field (Audette and et.al., 2017).
Balance Score Card
This is another way for the oprganisation to reach its vision and mission and this measure is
developed by David Norton and Robert Kaplan. This is based on feedbacks, target figures and
learning process. There are four view point of this strategy which are customer perspective, learning
and growth, internal business processes and the financial perspective.

Executive Summary-
The plan which is being made is for the betterment of the college and the students of the
college. Students who can not see and can not hear is another wide range of students which the
college could get in. Though the college will have to giove them special attention and extra classes
so that they can cooperate with the entire college (Onişor, 2015). And other activities and sports will
get other students who are interested in these events or who want to continue playing and showing

there talent. There will be a growth in the student ratio and the staff will also increase if that
happens. The students in this college is just 195 in present but if they aim for the wider range then
they will be able to do better in getting in students. Some students look forward for continuing there
hobby's even in college and can remain fit and heathy apart from studying. The college already has
courses which the students will get attracted to but the need of different activities will also be good.

The college is already well established and the methods which i have suggested to the
college will make a huge difference to the college after a recommendation from the students of the
college. This method can make the students reach a great heights and the college to expand so that
the college can get more students and not just that but also make the students get a better placement
and be prepared for the outside world. The students need to be mentally fit to explore the world
because after college they will have to step in the real world of competition and if they are not
prepapred then they will not be able to stand on there own feet (Pianta, 2017). The services which
are being served by the college will helpthe students to grow as people and make them have a better
lifestyle aand remain heathy.
Strength-
The strengths of this services we are providing are going to have a good impact on the
students. The students will be able to show more talent to other people and will help them remain
healthy. These services will also help the college gain more students in the college and will help the
college to expand.
Weakness-
The support from the students is very important optherwise this service can go for waste.
The meeting which should be conducted with the management of the college and the students
should let the students speak so that they can leave there recommendations also and the
management must take them seriously.
Threat-

Getting in blind or hard of hearing people to the college could be a big challenge for the
management of the college because the regular students will take time to get use to this process.
This is only getting gain for the college but the students must not think about what i8t is doing for
them but they might compare themselves with them. This method can get negativity or positivety in
the student.
Opportunities-
The students will grow as people because they will get to interact with people who have
problems and will be a great support for them. All the student will learn to grow and will know
respect and equality for the outside world (Hueske, Endrikat and Guenther, 2015).
Promotion-
Promoting these products and services to the entire world will not be a problem for them if
they start keeping there website updated and the promotions for this is done properly. Social media
plays a major role in today's world so they should consider that the most for promotion. Social
media like Facebook, Instagram, Advertisements, Radio, etc. The college does not follow
promotion method then they will not be able to grow in this field.
CONCLUSION
King Edward Vll college can become one of the most popular in town if they make the plan
come into action and they will have the double of students they have this year. The college will
have to get in these services as smooth as possible so that everyone can accept them. These
decisions of getting the major change of getting in translator should be done with consultancy of the
students and teachers so that everyone can be a part of the change and can accept the change. The
students of King Edward Vll college will never do anything which will demotivate them or the
other students which will come in. Treating everyone equally is the aim of the college and the
students of the college are totally in favour of it.
