Question 1 First of all please give us an overview of your business?
Snapfitnes Franchise is an entrepreneur business based in London which consists of
number of ventures. It is a private family owned business started by grandfather of Kunal in
1970. There office is based in London. It is engaged in real estate, pubs and franchising business.
With help of franchising business, they started ‘Good for heart’ delivery in 2012. They started
with 10 stores and within 6 years there were almost 29 stores in overall London. The business is
now entered into gym industry. It is similar like Pizza Hut franchise.
Question 2 Why did you choose to be an entrepreneur?
Kunal said he become entrepreneur due to the environment of his family where his uncle,
father and grandfather all were entrepreneurs. Also, he was having desire to become a
businessman and want to earn huge amount of profits. Apart from it, the background of
entrepreneur supported him in starting business. He studied economics in university and started
job in investment banking for 4 years. This specialization boosted his motivation to engage in
business. Moreover, main aim of Kunal was to start something own. At last the family
characteristics of Kunal supported him in providing direction and shaped his desire. So, due to
all these things he chose to become an entrepreneur.
Question 3 How was business opportunity spotted? How was initial idea subjected to
further interrogation via experiments and tests?
Kunal said the business opportunity was spotted from learnings of previous business such
as Pizza delivery. The entrepreneur identified errors and changes was made for future growth.
The idea was evaluated by analyzing franchising market and finding out opportunities from it.
Also, Kunal said that QSR business, coffee chain, chicken shops, other gym brands, etc. were
evaluated and idea was generated. The second aspect was to build a team around based on
characteristics. The third aspect was to create a positive impact on community and benefiting
them by bringing change in trend. Also, it was identified that gym industry was saturated, only
16-17% of people in UK go to gym. So, entrepreneur found that there was ample opportunity for
growth.

UK. Kunal also stated that people who did not belong or work in London can also have access to
gym. The main uniqueness of business was price which offered membership to customers at low
price. There are more equipment’s for female to encourage their participation. Also, gym provide
safe space for women as compared to other one. So, these all differentiate Snapfitness from other
gyms and clubs.
