Introduction
Effective team working is crucial for the success of a project or business since it enables
parties to contribute their creativity in the process which fuels innovation. It is important to
work under pressure since it assists in enforcing parties to think outside the box and find
creative solutions to business problems. In this report, the relevant topics relating to
creativity and innovation will be discussed in order to understand how maintaining
coordination and building trust is crucial for the success of a business. I will critically assess
my abilities to bring creativity and innovation into practice while working under pressure.
These principles will be applied in real life scenarios to support the arguments based on
personal experiences.
Group formation and creativity
The group formation is referred to the process of creating an association of individuals to
work as a team and direct their actions towards accomplishing common goals. The objective
of effective group formation and development lead to driving innovation in the business
which all members to rely on their creativity to find solutions to bigger problems (Harris and
Sherblom, 2018). Therefore, effective group formation leads to creativity which crucial for
the success of a project or business. I was a part of a group as per the recommendation of
my teacher to address specific business challenge. Our group was assigned a company, and
we have to do research and give a presentation on the company by addressing its major
challenges. In this project, we were only given 48 hours to complete the project which
creates significant pressure on all group members. However, the work pressure fuelled our
creativity which allowed us to complete our project within the assigned deadline. As
discussed in Kolb’s experiential learning, reflection is an important practice which is
important for the development of entrepreneurs which allow them to learn from their
experience. They use their personal experiences to find creative solutions to their problems
which is what we did as well while working in the group.
We used our personal experience to propose different solutions to the problems faced by
the company, and we discussed the effectiveness of those ideas to determine which are the
ones that suit the needs of the company. We used the Kolb’s learning cycle to find relevant

experience and assess those experiences in order to determine what we have learned in the
process. After completing the realisation, we decided how to incorporate these movements
into the next experience which allowed us to find creative solutions (Northouse, 2017). Due
to the pressure of meeting the deadline, I was quickly evaluating my past experiences and
learning in order to find a relevant solution to the problem. I learned in this process that in
order to promote innovation in business, it is important to form effective groups which are
targeted towards addressing major issues in the organisation. While working under
pressure, the group members are forced to think outside the box to find solutions which
they can do by reflecting on their past experiences.
Organisation of work
While working in a group, I realised the importance of organisation of work and my effective
management skills assisted in helping our group to accomplish its common goals. In the first
stage, I recommended that each group members should divide the task so that we are not
concentrating on same problems. This resulted in increased efficiency in the process and
allowed us to cover all the relevant topics without losing our productivity in the project. I
prepared Gantt task for the group in which I analysed the case and search something about
my cognition company. I have found that my cognition is leading digital platform that gives
the health tips in order to get the optimal fitness. I have also searched that my cognition also
gives advice regarding the work habits and good amount of sleep. Afterwards, other group
members identified all the possible issues that can be faced during this task (Richardson and
Andersen, 2015). Afterwards one of group members has explained us the meaning of
Freemium. He explained that Freemium is a combination of two words: Free and premium.
He describes that it is used in describing the business model that offers the premium as well
as free services. This model works by offering the basic and simple services free of cost in
order to try some extra features at premium (Fleisch, Weinberger and Wortmann, 2015). Due
to the clear explanation, we all have understood the basic meaning of freemium. The group of
all of us worked best as we all have an equal right to contribute in the group projects. All of
group members have decided to conduct a meeting time-to-time. Before meeting, we decide
the task that has to be accomplished in the meeting. A certain set of questions we all decided
as per our understanding. All those questions have been discussed in the meeting. At the end
of each meeting, it was seen that is the goal of meeting is achieved or not. These factors
experience and assess those experiences in order to determine what we have learned in the
process. After completing the realisation, we decided how to incorporate these movements

allowed us to remain creativity while ensuring that they are able to deliver the project
within the given deadline.
Team creativity
In the group presentation, I finally got my chance to show my creativity skills while working
under pressure. We focused on “the process” by finding solutions to why, what, how and
who. While questioning why, we focused on identifying the answer to why this strategy is
needed to address the problems faced by the company (Michaelsen, Knight and Fink,
2014). We identified what the creative ideas are and new technologies are available to
address these challenges. We formed a strategy regarding how the corporation can take
actions in order to exploit these options. Lastly, we discussed who should be involved in this
process to ensure its effectiveness. During this process, we focused on rationality and logic
while evaluating the facts, data and evidence to reach a right conclusion. During this
process, we generate the sense of safety and confidence about our outcomes since all of us
agreed on their effectiveness. We realised that working under pressure was crucial for our
senses to reach a valid outcome which made our group presentation successful.
I have decided to set my own goals during the group presentation. The goal was to search as
many ideas as possible regarding the task. I had carefully listened to the ideas of each of my
group member and then mentioned all the ideas on a piece of paper for the safer side. By
taking this approach, I had improved my work a lot and come up with some creative and
unique ideas. Group leadership was important for us to ensure that we remain on the track;
therefore, we chose a leader from our group. The group leadership helped me in many ways.
The leader of our group was responsible for monitoring the work whether it is going in right
direction or not. The leader was also assisting for managing and understanding the interaction
of group that helps in keeping the positive environment. He also encouraged each one of the
members to contribute for accomplishing the task in better way. Our leader also made the
information which was to be discussed in a clear manner. After the gathering of idea, we had
categorised them. After the categorisation of all the ideas we examined them.
Afterwards, we chose the best idea in the presence of all idea. The idea was chosen based on
its advantages and disadvantages. Those ideas having more disadvantages were removed out
of the box. In this way, that idea was considered who have more advantage and fewer
allowed us to remain creativity while ensuring that they are able to deliver the project
within the given deadline.

disadvantages. The choosing of idea was done based on voting system. This system was
chosen in order to avoid the conflicts that can arise while working in a team (Hansen, 2016).
We all have asked to vote for their ideas in order to eliminate the bad ideas. Moreover, based
on the voting, we have ranked the idea in high priority list. After the viewpoints of each of
the team member, group arrived at such agreement that makes the sense to everyone. Our
group decision was based on the input of all the members (Levi, 2015). These decisions
allowed us to avoid conflicts and stay creative in a short window which we received for
preparation of our presentation. These factors promoted team creativity in our group and
allowed us to ensure that we effectively achieve our goals.
Problems and recommended solutions
We encountered various problems during the group task. When we were figuring out the
work and spending some of the time in deciding team leader. During the time of deciding
leader, our some of time was wasted. At this time, our some of the work was delayed.
However, we have understood that it was also essential for the smooth functioning of work.
Work pressure was a major factor which adversely affects the outcomes of a project (Chen
and Rybak, 2017). I bring creativity in the process by recommending that we should divide
the work between each other. We took some time while dividing the tasks between each
group members to avoid working on the same issues; this decision wasted our time a bit,
but it helped us achieve our goals within the deadline. Due to the work pressure, everyone
was feeling stressed, and they were worried whether we would be able to deliver the task
within the given deadline or not.
In order to address this issue, I used creativity to recommend that we should work together
as a team to avoid confusion in the project. While working together, I maintained a positive
attitude and continuously helped other group members so that they did not get stressed.
We were brainstorming ideas which allowed us to remain creative without losing any time.
Each one of us founded the one skill by doing proper research. I have found that openness is
the essential skills for ensuring positive environment among all the group members which
lead to the success of group members (Schillemans and Robinson, 2015). We have
elaborated the concept by discussing this skill in our group discussion. We have shown our
willingness to know each other especially of those having other background and interest. We
all have initiated some creative ideas, as well as different viewpoints. Because of this, we
