INTRODUCTION
Inquiry based learning is that part of learning which is based on the various questions
scenarios and problems. Tesco is a retail multinational organizations which operates in 11
countries all over the world (Aydın, 2020). This report contains inquiry-based learning in Tesco
Company which helps to understand the current trends in the retail market. On the other hand
this report also contains an overview of the Tesco Company and several recommendations which
can be made to the organization regarding adaptation of inquiry-based learning in the
organization.

The organization which are working in the Retail Industry are serving several customers all over
the world and is at boom situation. This industry help to generate 5% of the GDP to the country.
According to the data which has been gathered buy retail economics it has been recorded that
there is a growth of 3.4 % in retail sales all over United Kingdom and around 394 million pounds
in the Retail Industry. Retail Industry is also essential for any country as it provides employment
opportunities to so many people. According to a survey Retail Industry has employed 2.9 million
employees in the sector. Opportunities which are available in this sector will help more and more
people to involve in this business and it has been recorded in a survey that UK has 306655 retail
outlets. Even online sales has also rise 324 percent in 10 years. All these figures shows a great
contribution of the industry to the GDP of a country which helps the retail sector to get full
support of the government from which they can formulate several strategies for their successful
business in order to enhance there sales of this industry. With the successful growth of Retail
Industry giving young population is contributing a lot to this industry. Their efforts and strategies
help the industry to grow in successful manner and reach at this boom stage. The young
generation with technology advancement provide innovation to the retail sector which help them
to use updated Technology for betterment of the customer's. The opportunities which have been
seen in this sector helps various organizations to involve in retail industry business as both
offline as well as online stores. Not only these opportunities but this sector also provide various
challenges to the organization to retain in this sector (Bansal and Ramnarain, 2021).

Tesco is a multinational organization which thieves and groceries as well as general merchandise
having headquarter in Welwyn garden city England. Tesco is the company which is at the
position of third largest retailer all over the world if it is measured in gross revenues and it is the
ninth largest retailer company all over the world if it is measured by net values (Akaygun and
Adadan, 2021). As Tesco operates in 5 countries all over the Europe which we came reason that
Tesco became market leader of groceries in the UK country where they have a market share of
around 28.4 percent. The company was established by Jack Cohan in the year 1919 in London.
After some years the company has diversify its operations in several areas like retailing of books
electronics toys software clothing petrol telecoms internet services financial services and many
more.

benefits but they came up with various challenges also (Rahmadhani, Sutrisno and Widarti,
2021). The company needs to effectively manage this challenge in order to retain their customers
with them and accomplish The Vision and Mission of the company. The company involves
various stakeholders such as their employees, managers and any other persons who are benefited

needs and wants to serve them in effective manner. To understand these needs and wants of the
stakeholders the company e conduct regular research which also helps them to make themselves
ready for the future uncertainty. The productivity of any organization is completely depends
upon the productivity of their employees. In order to satisfy and achieve organizational objective
it is essential for Tesco to keep their employees motivated and give their efforts towards the
important areas in order to achieve success in the organization. Along with this a company
should also understand the value of finance in an organization as it plays an important role in the
success of people as well as the organization (Wahab and Terasne, 2020).

Tesco is a successful company in retail sector and their effective operations help them to gain
more and more profit in this sector. But still there are several recommendations which can be
made to the company in order to increase their efficiency in the market. With the increased use
of Technology all over the world the company should also adopt some advanced Technologies in
their company to attract more and more customers towards them. They should inquire about the
problems which are facing by the organization to achieve more and more profits from the market
and on the basis of this inquiry the company can done to formulate several different strategies for
their growth. In this era of advanced technology and pandemic which has been faced by all the
world, the company should increase their online presence as it will help them to attract more and
more customers globally. And also the online presence will help the country to control the spread
of the Deadly virus. Covid-19 is also impacted the performance of the retail stores all over the
world and it is the time that the retail sector can enhance their sales by making strong their online
presence. In order to make their presence in the physical market the company should focus on
the environment which will help their customers to be attracted towards an environment friendly
organization. As the resources which are used by an organization are came from environment
and it is duty of an organization to use all those resources responsibly and optimally so that the
resources can be used with full episodes see. If Tesco supports environment of the society they
will also get the support of the government of that area in which the company's operating. To run
a business and in uninterrupted manner it is essential for any organization to have Government
support with them. To grow more in the market it is essential for the company to be involved in
