Summary of the Article
The article in discussion, From colonialism to development: reflections of former
colonial officers by Kothari (2006) discusses the various issues that have been developed in the
matters that are related to the effect of the practices, discourses and the cultures on the extent and
the form of the workings of the industry of the developmental post-independence international
aid. The composition of the article is majorly dependent on the narrations that have been shared
by the people who have been dealing with the posts of the colonial administrators (Kothari
2006). The narrations of the ordeals that are faced by the present expatriates have also been taken
in to consideration. The expatriates had been immensely responsible for the development of the
conditions wherein the concerned state has been facing a change in the administration from the

major issues that the expatriates shed light on in this regard is the areas of the development of the
practices and the purpose as well as the governance that was maintained within the concerned

experienced all over the world is generally not neo-colonial in nature and is often observed to
