INTEGRATED BUSINESS CHALLENGE
PART A – Career and Unit Expectations
I am interested in enhancing my career opportunities and improve my professional career
by following Master of Business Administration or MBA. For me, it is a perfect career choice, as
it will help me to learn about the various scientific approaches to management and enhance my
skills in areas of business including finance, marketing, accounting, operations, statistics, and
human resource management too. Pursuing MBA will open new scopes for me to advance in my
career as well as gain increased financial rewards. I have done my BBA and there are enough
opportunities for me to pursue this degree with ease and effectiveness.
This would improve my communication skills, strategic problem solving abilities,
research and analytical skills and allow me to emerge as a business leader in my professional
career. I will be able to gain broad business understanding, enhance my skills to communicate
with business partners properly, develop effective strategies to solve problems, improve my
networking skills and even adapt to critical situations and work under pressure as well. By
pursuing this degree, I can gain ability to conduct research, analyse, interpret the data for
business purposes and furthermore emerge as a business leader. This would not only develop my
career but also would improve my professional life by making progress in business situations
effectively.

INTEGRATED BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Here I need to form a team consisting of individuals who have relevant skills and
knowledge about management and administration of business. The team was formed by
recruitment and selection of individuals with the support of human resource manager (Bucherer,
Eisert and Gassmann 2012). Leadership skills are necessary along with enabling proper
communication between team members is essential to form long lasting teams, which can
enhance production level largely (Drnevich and Croson 2013).
Interpretation of events
I have been part of team as well and it is known to me that the team formation passes
through various steps including forming, norming, storming and performing.
Evaluating the effectiveness
During the forming stage, I was able to gain communication skills and got to know other
team members.
The storming stage enabled me to identify conflicts between other team members and I
learn to adjust myself with the surroundings. I understood my roles and responsibilities properly
and clarified any issues with the leader of the team.
In the norming stage, I learnt to resolve conflicts, developed strong commitment for
achievement of goals and objectives, and furthermore improved my abilities to move on to the
storming phase.
