INTRODUCTION
Research is the process which refers to the systemic inquiry which used the collection of
data, analysis and interpretation of the data with using some methodology with using some
discipline. Evidence refers to the sign which give the surety that something exist is real or true.
There are many types of research which includes the clinical trials, Genetics studies, public
health research etc. In the health care there are many evidence based practices are done which
gives the positive effect on the social and health care. In this, one is able to learn about the
purpose with many process which can help in conducting research which enables the evidence-
based practice, with the help of literature review one is able to help in promoting the integrated
approaches which can help one to learn which is related with the change in the health care sector
(Maguire and et. al., 2018).
TASK 1 (LO1)
P1 Purpose and process for conducting research for enabling evidence-based practice in health
and social care
Research refers to again search which means one is needed to find something new which
have some new conclusion on the related topic. Here Research enables the health care
professional in finding the evidence which can be said as the best evidence which are having the
ability to proof something or can support the assessments and interventions which can help in
making the policies and practices. Research is also helpful in giving some innovative idea which
can be used in the medical science as a contribution which is regarding the healthcare. It is
totally dependent on the healthcare system which can help in to adopt the Evidence-based
practices widely and quickly (Dickinson and et. al., 2016).
Defining the Research Problem- The research problems are one of the main reason for the
research purpose. Any problem in the statement of research which enables the research process
for finding out solution of such problem which are creating the curiosity. Research problems are
the one who give the direction to the research which can help in determining the main aim and
the objectives of the research.
Literature Review- They are the one who are able to provide us the the information about
the research problems for collecting the data which are done recently as the research. In this
Google Scholar, Cinhal and PubMed are used for the research purpose.

Data collection- It can be done by using the primary as well as the secondary research
which are either done previously or which are already available as a result of secondary research.
In this, the secondary data are used for the research (Coughlan and et. al., 2019).
Data analysis- It is the process in which the analysis is done of the collected data which
can be helpful in giving the solution of any health care issues. This analysis is done for
understanding the literature review for the research problems.
Data interpretation- This is the process which is done to interpret the conclusion which
is form the collected data which is having the answer for which the research has been done.
Research designing- This refers to the designing of the research which can help in
formulating the hypothesis which can give a base for reaching the conclusion which is from the
collecting data.
P2 Explaining the skills and qualities which needed to conduct the literature review in health and
social care
Literature review is study of scholarly sources on a specific topic. Literature review
based on two concepts. First is the process in which research a topic and familiarise with relevant
topic. During this procedure, identify key authors and publications and target issues in the
research work. Next step is product in which critically analysis that what is known related to that
topic. During literature review five key steps carried out such as search relevant literature,
evaluate sources, study themes and debates, outline the structure and after that write own
literature review. A literature review help to analyses and evaluates to give a clear mind-map
related to concerned topic.
To write a thesis, dissertation or research paper must be needed to conduct a literature
review. It helps to familiarise target topic and your new ideas help to address a gap in research
paper. Take following steps to conduct like make a central question to carried out research, no
need to collect original data to answer this question, answer it only reading old existing
publications (Mdlulwa and et. al., 2018). At first make a list of keywords related to that question,
search some useful sources like library catalogue, google scholar and find that which question is
relevant to answer the specific question, not read everything and only evaluate which part is
relevant to that question.
Skills and qualities need to conduct a literature review in health and social review

ability to search publications on relevant topic.
Read and analyse sources related to research topic
evaluate data and publications which relevant to search topic synthesize the sources .
Published example-
To make a good literature review find some published examples like annual reviews are
most highlighted scientific literature, academic search by adding some keywords systematic
review meta analysis, advance search, systematic search under publication type.
Choose a best research team because it is important element to finding the right sources.
Find several type of sources like books, journal articles, conference papers etc.
Read always recent sources which published in last five to ten years.
Write literature review in an interactive manner like summarises each source, referencing
carefully and compile sources according to theme.
Make a checklist of questions for critical reading.
New literature review demonstrate that how it relate to previous work.
After writing each section, go back and read the whole section to make it more sensible.
By this way improve the essay, do editing and redrafting help to improve the quality of
writing work, and ask someone to read it and check the errors (Glasby 2017.Moss 2017).
These skills and qualities needed to conduct a literature review in social and healthcare.
These skills and qualities are helpful to conduct a good research work and give better results
related to topic of social and healthcare and help to make good condition in social and
healthcare.
TASK 2 (LO4)
P7 Describe different ways in which the literature review influences evidence-based health and
social care practice.
In the health care profession, literature review is very crucial part for taking the right
health care decision. Because it is the evidence of past, primary discussions and health acre
treatment, which results and success influence the present and future medical practice. It aid to
make the effective, guiding medical strategies and plane, so that nurses and the new trainee can
easily perform their social and health care practice. It aid to make an right functioning medical

policy. As social and health care practice is the field which deals with the treatment of people
along with the development of new techniques for more effective treatments. Literature review
influence the healthcare and social care practice in multiple way, explain below.
Aid to get the answer of focused questions: Literature review is the compact form of
information related to the previous healthcare and social care practices along with the previous
medical research. It aid to get the answer of any medical and social care practice question
develop during the process. It is very easy to understand by just reading it individuals get the
huge information about the care process (Keshet and et. al., 2017).
Aid healthcare professionals to provide the evidence to their patient: As disease and
health care problem are continuously emerging with the different characters, so for solving those
problems multiple research and practices did previously and conducting in present time too. If
the people or a single person suffering from the health car problem, then they want to know
about it and the care procedure for that problem. So health care professionals can use literature
review to provide the evidence of that problem and to provide present treatments availability, for
their patient.
Helps the professionals to take evidence based decision: Health care practices are very
sensitive task, because it is related to the life and health the individuals. Health care professionals
should be very sure about the problem and treatments procedure, which they can select to save
individuals, without harming them. So for that they can go with the previous researches,
procedure and result for that. In other words it aid to make the EBP (evidence-based practices).
So, it clear the review literature influence the health care practises for doing the evidence-based
procedure.
Provide the future research questions: The primary, practices and research, give the
answers of some question and give the solution for particular problem. But along with this some
time it creates and develop the more research question for future professionals. It provides the
new ideas for further more beneficial health and social care practices.
Aid to make an effective medical practices polices: For the health care organisation it is
important to make an effective health care polices so that staff of the organisation make the right
decision for care practices. And for that organisation uses the literature review to provide right
health care polices and guidelines (Harris and et. al., 2018).

P8 Recent research is having a positive impact on current practice in improving the service
delivery
There are many recent research which are done recently and they are having the positive
effect on the health care departments. By using the current research which are having different
aspect in the health-care which can be the advantage for going advance. Just like the privacy, the
recent research has also the high value in the society (Zeyneloğlu and et. al., 2018). This enables
the health-care department to get the important information related with risk factor, disease trend
and about their latest treatment. In the health-care the research is having the most value do to
related with the health of many people which can help or secure the patients due to having any
type of health issue or proving any advancement in the treatment of any diseases. In the health-
care any drug can only be allowed to produce in the market when it passes through many
experiments which are majorly based on the different research. Herceptin is one of the example
of the benefits of the research which is the treatment of the breast cancer which is done by using
the biological sample along with patient's results. They are the reason for recalling the marketed
product form the market which comes in finding due to having research in that field or medicine.
Such that there are many of the benefits which are having many advantages of the research. In
old time, the research was based upon the primary data collection and the secondary data
collection was so hard that many time the proper information regarding the topic was not able to
be find out on time which was creating the negative effect and due to this the research was not
completed in context of that data (Zon and et. al., 2020). So in this time the research is based on
the secondary data collection by using the latest technology which are causing the big effect on
analysing the data and in their interpretation. Research is done for the improvement in the
ongoing health-care system. Every individual is having their own quality and there are many
researcher who are doing their research on the same topic. Which enables them to finding
different things due to using the different technology and using the different techniques.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, one is able to get that about the purpose and process of
conducting research which enabling the evidence based practice which also includes skill and
qualities which is needed to conduct the literature review in the health and social care, there is
also described the different ways through which the literature review influences the evidence
based health and social care practices. There are many benefits which are discussed with using
