INTRODUCTION
Business Analysis Planning refers to identifying collection of the task which needs to be
completed for ensuring that business efforts are successful. Business analysis planning is
considered to be highly significant in effectively identifying the collecting all the tasks which is
considered to be prominent in ensuring that business analysis effort is considered to be
successful. It is useful in providing the detailed plan of structure which is useful in examining the
time associated to complete the specific project. Developing effective plan involves outlining
and identifying all key tasks that are required to be completed within allotted time. Present report
is based over NHS integrated working strategy. Annual service review report submitted to Mayor
of local council. It provides about the strategic relevance of NHS 5 year forward view for the
project especially pertaining integrated workings with key partners. It will provide about the
differences and similarities between the quantitative, qualitative and the secondary data types.
Report will also present a budget for 3 year spending plan based on valid assumptions.
TASK 1
Strategic relevance of ‘NHS Five Year Forward View’ to ‘NHS integrated working strategy',?
NHS Five Year Future View, as the name suggest is a plan of NHS which used to define
the goal or objective which NHS are looking to achieve in coming five-year. It also used to
define the road map and guideline which will be followed by the NHS in process of achieving
the objective in the effective manner. There are three main point on basis of which NHS five-
year plan is set up that are why change is needed, what that change might look like and how we
can achieve it (Exworthy, Powell and Glasby, 2017). Last Five year plan which was published by
the NHS in the year 2014 has clearly defined that NHS will look to move toward the strategy of
integrated working. Five Year View plan also describes the strategic relevance linked with ‘NHS
integrated working strategy'. Also, It used to define the different step which NHS are planning
with regard to going on with the integrated working strategy of the company in the long run.
‘NHS integrated working strategy', Under this program NHS organization in partnership
with different local council take variety of different collective responsibility to manage resources
and providing NHS standard treatment. Main objective behind this strategy is to improve the
health of the population by building a good and strong chain of hospitals, NHS providers,
commissioners and local authorities. Not only that NHS are also concentrating on developing
Human resources of different local authorities by providing NHS standard of training to all the

integrated organizations (NHS five-year view plan. 2019). Some strategic relevance which had
been defined in the NHS five-year view plan are as follows:
Out of Hospital Care: Integrated working strategy will help the Gps in combining with
different nurses, communities health service, hospital specialist and also health and social care
provider together. This will eventually help the NHS in creating the out of hospital care in the
UK, as it is very difficult for NHS to reach all the patient and bring them to NHS hospital. So
with the help of the Integrated working strategy, NHS will able to build good and secure bubble
out of hospital to provide the NHS standard of treatment to the one who is in need of same.
Survey conducted by the NHS helped in understanding that individual belonging to the rural area
finds it very difficult to get NHS standard of treatment at their door step. For the same reason
integrated working strategy of the NHS will help the NHS in reaching to the rural area patient as
well.
Patient Satisfaction and convenience: It is another important strategic relevance which
has been identified in the Five-year future view plan of NHS is in regard to Patient satisfaction.
Survey conducted by the NHS had provided the outcome that there are only 50 percents of the
patient who are satisfied on a point that they are given a choice to select a hospital to have
treatment (Hampson and et.al., 2017). Plan explain that with the help of the integrated strategy of
working NHS will integrate more local authority with them, this will eventually help the
different patient in getting more option in regard to the hospital where they are looking to have
their treatment. Hence, with the help of the integrated working strategy company will able to
safeguard the satisfaction level of patient at their convenience.
Different service integration: It is another important strategic relevance which had been
passed on in the five-year NHS future plan. Plan explain that with the help of integrated strategy
NHS will able to provide more than one service at the same time to the patient. For Example: If
the individual is suffering from the cancer, NHS will diagnose the patient in a hospital where
cancer treatment can be done (Hampson and et.al., 2017). This used to help the patient in
overcoming the issue of cancer but metal and physical health of patient generally see a negative
impact. For the same reason five-year view plan explain that with the help of integrated working
NHS will able to offer more than one type of services to the patient. As if someone is suffering
from the disease of cancer, with the help of new integrated service strategy mental and physical
health of the individual will be addressed at the same time.

Resource development and fixing up of standard: Five year view plans of NHS also
define that integrated working strategy of the company used to help the company in developing
the resources and fixing good standard of health and safety in the UK. Plan explain that with the
help of integrated working, NHS will able to build good chain of health care organization with
them. This will help the NHS in having good sort of availability of the resources whenever
require (McDermott and et.al., 2019) . Also, this strategy will help the NHS in fixing a good
standard of treatment across all the health care organization who have been integrated with the
NHS. As all the integrated organization will provide the same type and quality of the services to
the customer in the market.
Enhance efficiency: Another strategic relevance which will be seen by integrated
working strategy will be in regard to improving efficiency of different operation of NHS. Main
objective which used to regulate the NHS is to provide the good quality or health treatment to all
the individual of nation. Integrated strategy of NHS will help the organization in achieving the
objective in more efficient way. As all the consumer will able to get the good quality and
standard of the treatment at their door step. Not only that this strategy will also help the NHS in
developing better Human resource in the organization, as all the nurses and personal of different
integrated organization will be provided with the NHS standard of training. Hence, NHS will
able to develop more efficient Human resource in the organization (NHS five-year view plan.
2019).
b.) Exploring why a report will be best suited to presenting your annual service review to
the local authority.
Business analysis planning is considered to be significant in identifying the collection of all the
tasks which ensures that the efforts made by the business analysis is considered to be highly
successful. This business report is considered to be well suited for the effectively evaluating the
strategic relevance associated with the NHS Five Year Forward View. This is highly relevant in
pertaining to the integrated working associated with the key partners which is relevant in the
delivering of the chosen set of services. The business report is relevant in providing the critical
analysis how the plan has been working out which eventually leads to making the local authority
effectively understand. Business reports is one of the important tool which is useful in guiding
and take appropriate set of decision. It is useful in providing the detailed plan of structure which
is useful in examining the time associated to complete the specific project. Developing effective

plan involves outlining and identifying all key tasks that are required to be completed within
allotted time. The report will include the market analysis and the current and the budgeted plan
which is considered to be highly prominent in taking necessary set of decision and also provide
annual service review to the key management of the company. This service review report is
considered to be highly significant for the local authority by analyzing the key relevant set of
data and must also be useful in improving the relevant set of results and outcomes. It helps in
attaining the year goal plans and long term objectives associated with the NHS service plan. This
is significant in effectively evaluating the resources and the funds which has been required for
the specific period. It is useful for analyzing the service demand and also analyze the service
sector which improves the key results and is best suited to present your annual service review to
the local authority.
Task 2
Key similarities and differences between the quantitative, qualitative and the secondary types of
data types and how it will help in completing the annual service review.
Data refers to group of the raw information or facts collected for the reference , research
and analysis. It is individual unit of the information which has been transformed into efficient
form, for processing and easy movement. In case of the data analysis, it is defined as the process
of editing, inspecting, modelling and transforming data for discovering useful information,
informed conclusions and to support decision making. Important part in performing data analysis
includes knowing different types of the data (Almalki, 2016). There are different types of data
like qualitative, qualitative and secondary data.
Qualitative Data
It could be defined as the data which describes information. It is the descriptive statistical
type of data, which makes it data expressed with the categories and groups rather than the
numbers. It is also categorical data. The data is relevant to large extent in the research with a
limited use in the statistics due to the incompatibility with the statistical methods. Qualitative
data is categorised in ordinal and nominal data. The nominal data defines variables or names
while the ordinal data scale them.
Qualitative data is concerned with the descriptions that could be observed but could not
be computed. It represents characteristics or attributes. For example: data on the attributes like
honesty, intelligence, cleanliness and creativity collected using students of the class as sample

will be classified as the qualitative data (Duman, and et.al., 2017.). This data is more exploratory
rather than conclusive.
Quantitative Data
The quantitative data is described as data whose values are measured in form of counts or
numbers, with unique numeric value attached with every single data set. It is also known as the
numerical data, as the data describes the numeric variables. The data is highly used in the
research and especially in the statistics due to its compatibility with the statistical analysis
methods. These are the different methods to analyse quantitative data depending over the type.
Quantitative data is categorised in two which are continuous data and discrete data.
Secondary data
Secondary data is one of the key significant data which helps in providing the various set
of information which is useful in providing the relevant set of information with the books,
journals, newspapers, statistical data, census, progress report and the internet searches (Ali and
et.al 2018). Secondary data is useful in reviewing and using the data which has been collected by
someone else. The most common sources of the secondary data collection is through
organizational records, census, manuals, books, journals, etc. These information are relevant in
analysing the key market trend and also signifies any sort of knowledge deficit. It is useful in
using such information and also further gathering such relevant information which can be useful
for gaining better insight related with the subject topic.
Similarities between qualitative, quantitative and secondary data types.
The major similarity between the qualitative and quantitative and secondary set of data
collection is that they have been used for the statistical analysis and research. For both types of
research data, the raw data is required (Xie and et.al., 2018). The participants are based upon the
type of research and the data required. Both qualitative and quantitative set of data collection are
used in order to effectively measure and also analyse the results of data. Both these data types are
relevant in producing those data which is easy to analyse. Both these approaches are considered
to be two complementary methods which helps in understanding the world around us and gather
relevant set of data associated with the project. One can be the core foundation for the other. The
quantitative research type is possible when qualitative research method has been carried out first
and vice versa. However, qualitative and quantitative set of data collection is considered to be
5

prominent because they both can stand up on their own terms. The major similarity between the
qualitative and quantitative and secondary source set of data collection is that raw data is
required to find better results associated with the subject matter.
Differences between qualitative, quantitative and secondary data types.
Qualitative data is concerned with the descriptions that could be observed but could not
be computed. It represents characteristics or attributes. On the contrary, quantitative data is
described as data whose values are measured in form of counts or numbers, with unique numeric
value attached with every single data set. Secondary data is useful in reviewing and using the
data which has been collected by someone else and can be further used for investigation. The
qualitative data has been gathered with the help of one on one interview, observation, focus
group interview, experimentation, etc. On the contrary, quantitative research method is
considered to be prominent because it is collected through survey, statistical analysis,
questionnaire, etc. which helps in improving the results and outcomes associated with the subject
matter. Moreover, secondary data collection is done through organizational records, census,
manuals, books, journals, etc. Quantitative research method is measured through amount, size,
price, length, etc. On the other hand, qualitative research method measures descriptive set of
data. Quantitative research method is objective and structured. It includes the level of occurrence
and qualitative method of research is based on in depth understanding. Qualitative method of
research is subjective and unstructured (Sutton and Austin, 2015). Qualitative method of research
is less reliable and the quantitative research method is more reliable and credible because it uses
statistical set of data. Qualitative method of research is significant for recommending final course
of action. On the other hand, Quantitative research method helps in developing initial
understanding.
Benefits of qualitative data type in completing your annual service review report.
Qualitative data is concerned with the descriptions that could be observed but could not
be computed. It is useful in representing characteristics or attributes. It is useful for completing
the service review report because it helps in effectively analysing the current and recent trends
related with the NHS service review report. It is also significant in effectively examining the
service demand and also useful in evaluating the market analysis related with the service sector.
Benefits of quantitative data type in completing your annual service review report.

Quantitative data type is considered to be prominent because it helps in gaining statistical
set of data related with the subject matter (Davidson, Chakrabarti and Marquesen, 2020). The
quantitative data is described as data whose values are measured in form of counts or numbers,
with unique numeric value attached with every single data set. It is also known as the numerical
data, as the data describes the numeric variables. It is useful for completing the service review
report because it helps in effectively analysing the recent market trends associated with the NHS
service review report. It also examines the service demand and also analyse the related with the
NHS service sector.
Benefits of secondary data type in completing your annual service review report.
Secondary data helps in providing the various set of information in – depth which is
descriptive in nature. It is useful in providing the relevant set of information with the books,
journals, newspapers, statistical data, census, progress report and the internet searches (Jing, Yan
and Pedrycz, 2018). The most common sources of the secondary data collection is through
organizational records, census, manuals, books, journals, etc. These information are relevant in
analysing the key market trend. This way it helps in gathering relevant set of information related
with the NHS service review report.

Interpretation: From the above budget plan it has been investigated and interpreted that, 1
million pound i.e., £10, 00,000 will be spend over a period of 3 years on this project. The long
term plan is to comply with the NHS 5 year forward view for the project especially pertaining
integrated workings with key partners. This helps in gaining high degree of operational standards
and efficiency which leads to long term sustainable growth and efficiency. A budget plan is
relevant because it is useful in interpreting the income and expenditure for the particular period.
This way it is useful in the better attainment of the goals and objectives for the NHS. For the first
year, the NHS had £10, 00,000 and the expenditures for that period which comprise of staffing
(both managers and frontline), utilities, stationary, rent, electricity, security, training, licensing
and services mainly accounts for £199000. The surplus in the year 1 is 801000. This means a
huge surplus amount is left for the upcoming 2 years which can be used effectively in a greater
and relevant manner. For the second year, the NHS had £8,01,000 and the expenditures for that
period which comprise of staffing (both managers and frontline), utilities, stationary, rent,
electricity, security, training, licensing and services mainly accounts for £299000. The surplus in
the year 2 is 502000. However, for the third year, the NHS had £5,02,000 and the expenditures
for that period which comprise of staffing (both managers and frontline), utilities, stationary,
rent, electricity, security, training, licensing and services mainly accounts for £436000. The
surplus in the year 3 is 66000. The inflation rate is estimated to be 5% every year. This way it
significantly helps in the attainment of the goals and objective and improves the NHS function.
However, these budget reports are considered to be prominent in taking necessary set of long
term, medium term and short term decision (Chohan, 2017). It is highly significant in comparing
the actual performance with that of the budgeted performance. The scope of authority must be
effectively known which is considered to be highly relevant in managing the funds over the
period to carry out specific project in a significant and reliable manner. Budgeting is considered
to be prominent is useful in creating a spending plan which helps the company to maintain
surplus amount of debt and does not run out of money. It helps in ensuring that the financial
8
Document Page
manager of the company will have significant degree of money for carrying out any project or
activity for the company. However, in order to effectively promote the NHS integrated working
strategy has been effectively supported by five year forward thinking policy. The project
activities can be effectively resourced from the grants and the reserves of the NHS which is
considered to be highly relevant in improving the results and outcomes. Taking loans from the
banks is considered to be as one of the most effective way which is useful in resourcing the funds
and attaining greater set of improvements which leads to attainment of the key goals and
objectives related with the NHS plan and project. Moreover, business incubators are the ones
who tends to focus on effectively resourcing the key activities which is considered to be
prominent in attaining the goals and objectives of the study (Downes, Moretti and Nicol, 2017).
Government grants and Subsidies is another measure which helps in resourcing the activities for
the NHS which is considered to be relevant for your business. This is one of the relevant source
which helps in effectively improving the government grant and leads to high possible efficiency
to attain long term as well as short term goals of the company. However, there seems to be other
miscellaneous expenses which must be managed within the stipulated budget frame. This is
relevant in attaining the desired set of outcomes and also improve the results and outcomes
associated with the service user consultation project. The funds available helps in ensuring that,
large set of service type choices has been significantly available which improves the health
results and outcomes. Budget is considered to be prominent because it helps in keeping and
maintaining funds which leads to completing the specific sets of project on a timely and reliable
manner within the stipulated budget frame. It is very useful in effectively ensuring that, all the
debts are paid off on the timely manner and in case of any deficit the appropriate source to raise
the fund must be effectively managed. Thus, this is considered to be as one of the most
significant measure which helps in improving the outcomes and results in greater attainment of
the goals and objectives of the company. Budget report is significant in ensuring for the manager
of the NHS that, the company has enough money to meet out its day to day expenditure and
other associated expenses with the project or plan (Nauels and et.al., 2019). However, this
service plan of the NHS is of relevant and integral importance which is considered to be useful in
attainment of the goals in a desired manner within the stipulated period of time.

gathering relevant set of information related with the NHS service review report. Budget report
helps in ensuring that the financial manager of the company will have significant degree of
money for carrying out any project or activity for the company. Budget report is significant in
ensuring for the manager of the NHS that, the company has enough money to meet out its day to
day expenditure.
