All the systems are highly sustainable because all of them are facilitating the enterprise to
operate its business systematically and execute all the plans properly.
Sustainability recommendations
In order to improve sustainability of all the systems it is recommended to Document Nation to
make sure that it is using latest version of all the systems. Apart from this, it is also
recommended to the enterprise to update them with time.
Short-term options
There are various options that could be used by the enterprise for the purpose of reducing the
power use are as follows:
 Shutting down all the PCs when they are not in use
 Keeping up to date software for operating operations

It has been recommended to the organization to use updated software so that the power usage

There are various types of devices which could be used for the purpose of measuring
power consumption. These are TP Link Smart Plug, Blue Line Innovations Power Cost, Croc
SeeCRS etc. from all of them Croc SeeCRS is used as the cost of it was very low as compared to
other options. In order to analysze the power usage this tool was used and the power usage which
was determined are as follows:
 High usage – desktops are in constant use.
 Average use – desktops used for approximately 75% of the day.
 Occasional use – desktops used for approximately 50% of the day.

Currently each computer is consuming 70 watts and if new ICT projects will be started then new
computers will be required and it will result in higher profits. Estimated new computers will be
around 10 and the energy usage for all of them will be 700 watts. The estimated weekly and
financial savings will be around 100 dollars and 5200 dollars respectively.
Potential savings
If VDI system will be adopted then potential financial saving will be around 5200 dollars per
year.
Payback period
The investment would be around 10000 dollar and cash inflow will be around 5200 so the
payback period will be around 1.92 years.
CO2 emissions
As the organization is focused with reduction of power usage so the Co2 emission will also be
reduced and it will be around 100 ppm which is very low.
