INTRODUCTION
Academic skill may be defined as those skill and abilities which assist the students to pursue
different types of academic lesson such as learning, report writing, research and presentation.
communication, time management, planning and technical are some of the capabilities which
help an individual to achieve a successful position in life (Patra and Das, 2019). The following
report is going to cover the full description of academic integrity and its importance in the higher
education. This report also covers the implication of academic misconduct and the difficulties
which are faced while developing the game. In the end, this report also reflects on the skills
develop during the making of game.

An introduction of academic integrity: -
Academic integrity refers to those features which comprises of different standard in
practices to complete all the academic work in a very effective manner with in the institution.
This is basically the seriousness of ethics and values which is totally related to the fundamental
guiding and activity of the research in the organization. With the help of this the student and the
employees of the company get the new ides and understanding which assist them in getting
innovation in their working (Mahabeer and Pirtheepal, 2019). This is bifurcate in three elements
like research, teaching and facilities. It is very important for the student, teacher and he
researchers of the academic area to maintain their trust and honesty in terms of work.
Disobeying the rule of academic integrity is the main reason of arising the academic misconduct.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity is basically the commitment which are given by the teachers, students
and workers in order to provide the honesty and attitude towards the academic career. This is
being considered as the base of research, learning and teaching with in the institution and also
assist the student in generating new ideas and opinion during the time of working. Following are
the importance of the academic integrity for lecturers, organization and students has been
discussed below: -
Students: - for the students, academic integrity may be defined as the generating the ethical
decision, asking questions and monitoring. It is very authentic in learning and believing the staff

members which help in making up their inspiration environment. This comprises of mutual
respect with the student and spirit to evaluates their faults which make them more responsible.
These practices assist them in making their future bright (Muthukamatchi and Veerachamy,
2021). These standards also assist the employees of the company to become more responsible
individual. With the help of maintaining academic integrity at the time of pursuing the higher
education this assist in achieving success position in life.
Lectures: - an important role has been played by the teacher in providing and guiding the trust,
ethics and fairness to the students. In the global management the lectures are being
considered as the first person which are communicate to the pupils. This help in motivating
the people which assist them in understanding the ned of academic integrity. It is very
important for a teacher to reduce the different types of difficulties in examination and also
motivate the student to complete the task with utmost honesty.
Management: - during the time of managing the higher education it is very important for the
employees of the company to carry out the task with full honesty and productivity. This is done
with the help of academic integrity (Levine and Pazdernik, 2018). It is very essential for an
organization to develop an optimistic learning; this allows the students as well the teacher to
learn the new things with more confidence. In addition to this academic integrity also included
the exercises and policies with in the institution which need to applied to all the students in
relation to the gender, caste, religion or gender. This gives proper understanding to employees of
the company which help them in gaining more and more perks due to academic integrity. Along
with this, this also help in gaining more and more reputation with in the community which help
in making huge impact on the efficient student which assist in evolving their skill.
Importance in examination: - this is being considered as the crucial element which not only
help in checking the knowledge of student but also help in understanding the effectiveness
of the teacher lecture. This is done on the basis which shows the possession of knowledge by
the teacher and student.

Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct: - academic misconduct may be defined as the any types of cheating that
occur while performing any academic exercise. Various measures have been taken by the
institutions in order to reduce the academic misconduct and ensure that all the work has been
done with effectively and appropriately. It refers to such practices which renders students unfair
as well as honorary educational facilities as compared to others. There are different types of act
which comprises in the academic misconduct such as falsity of data, plagiarism, violating and
cheating in unauthorised way to pass the examination in order to get the unfair perks. The
implication of the academic misconduct has been discussed below: -
 Plagiarism: - this may be defined as the copying of someone's data, thoughts, ideas,
language without their consent or permission (Ard and Ard, 2019). If the identification of
the author has been done then this will be considered as an academic misconduct as
plagiarism practice.
 Cheating: - this is another form of academic which directly influence the study life of the
students. In any field cheating is not acceptable and not addressed by any university.
Students who study in the universities get into these practices to pass the exam with good
perks and grade. But due to technology and software this is not possible because this
catches the cheated work.
 Professional misconduct: - according to the professional misconduct, students are
learning lots of things from each other like proper behaviour, attitude and many more.
The environment of negative learning has been created if any ineffective behaviour has
been done. This directly influence the students. So it is very important for the student to
behave in very ethical and proper manner and also respect each other ideas (Myers,Hardy
and Mason, 2019)

Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in producing the game for
Assignment 2
When I was studying in the university, I had the opportunity to develop a game that assist
the students to remove the plagiarism and avoid the academic misconduct. The game developed
by me is concerned with academic misconduct. This game helps the students in identifying the
different ways which not only assist them in overcoming from the academic malpractices but
also help them in facing all the problems and complexities which came in their way. Different
types of difficulties I faced while producing the game has been discussed below: -
 The first and the foremost problem which I came across while designing the game was
totally related to the assembling the game. Since I don’t have the proper knowledge to
implement the game due to this, I am not be able to turn the idea of the game into reality.
 Another difficulty that I have encountered during the creation of the game was related to
the graphic designing. Since, my information technology skill was very poor, due to this
I was not be develop a proper game. But an effective game has been developed by me by
putting my best efforts at every level.
 Preparing the question related to the game was also been the most important difficulty
which have been faced by me while producing the game. While preparing the questions I
had to ensure that all the questions which have been put by me reflect the consequences
of academic misconduct and plagiarism.
 Another problem which had faced by me was related to the making of rules and
regulation of the game. This was the most complex problem which I had faced during
producing the game because I had to ensure that the game which is being designed by me
must be attractive and give a serious message regarding the plagiarism and academic
misconduct.

Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those emphasized in
producing your game
During the making of the game, I had the opportunity to develop new skill and knowledge
within myself. Whit the help of these skills I can make my future better. Following are the skills
which had been developed by me while producing the game have been discussed below:-
 Communication skill: - while designing the game I have developed a good
communication skill within me. As the task of designing the game was a team task which
assist me to communicate with my team members in very proper manner. While
designing the game, I had to communicate with my team members and teachers to get
their opinion for designing the game and along with this I had to present my ideas to
them without any hesitation which boost my confidence to speak in front of them. With
the help of this skill, I was able to take the opinion of my teammates which result in
developing an excellent game.
 Decision making skills: - decision making ability has been developed within me while
designing the game. During the development of this game I had the opportunity to
formulate the questions, which ultimately resolve the objective of academic misconduct.
Initially I didn't have this skill, but while designing the game I was able to pick up the
best question from the several one.
 Creativity skills it is very important to have this skill within a person. The skill of
creativity is very vital for an individual as this skill make them different from others.
During the development of this game creativity skill has also been developed within me.
Two main objectives of this game have been accomplished by me with the help of
evolvement of this skill i.e., making a fun-loving game and protecting the student from
doing academic misconduct.
 IT skills: - before the development of this game my IT skill was very poor, I was not
good in this area. In order to develop this game in a very effective manner a diploma
course of graphics had been taken me which assist me to understand the graphics of the
games. This knowledge helps me in future in becoming a successful person.
 Writing skills: - I had to prepare the different questions with the help of different method
while designing this game. By writing all the question without any errors an effective
writing skill have been developed within me.

 Problem solving skills: during the development of this game problem solving skill has
also been developed within me. Lots of problems as well as complexities had been faced
by me while designing this game. By facing all the problems in a very effective manner
by me during this game, this skill has been developed within me. Overcoming all these
problems gave me a chance to develop this skill
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that in educational sector academic integrity
plays a very vital role. Honesty as well as fairness has been promoting by this with in the
educational as well as business institute. All the policies which are relates to the academic
integrity has to be follow by all the educational institute which assist them in encouraging
the academic integrity and remove the academic misconduct practices and plagiarism.
Positive environment has been developed by this which ultimately enhance the productivity
of the students and improves the goodwill of the institute.
