INTRODUCTION
Inter-Agency is define as agencies who are occurring among or involving between two or
more agencies. These agencies conduct communication as an inter agency task force. Their main
work of inter agency is to provide support to child as well as young people for fulfilling their
additional needs, conducting real improvement and so on (Alam and Griffiths, 2016). They also
provide quality support to the parents who migrated. Organization selected for this report is
Nuffield health which is a Non for profits company which operating in healthcare industry. Its
headquarter is situated at 1957 and its headquarter is located at Epsom, United Kingdom. They
offer products and services like hospital, health clinics, fitness and well being gyms, medical
centres, nutritional therapy, occupational health, employees well being and so on. Topics
mentioned in report are complex factors in a multi cultural community and its impact on
delivering of healthcare services. It will also include differing cultural requirement of
communities at UK and impact of leadership on a multi-disciplinary team. This will also explain
about the attributes of an effectual multi-disciplinary team.
TASK 1
1.Identified challenges would impact on the delivery of effective healthcare services.
After shifting of a person from one location or nation to another they go through various
issues which impact on directly and indirectly to their healthcare services. Moreover they also go
through challenges related to the financial crises because they not able to find good or effective
job. They also go through communication issues at particular location because both location
language as well as culture are totally difference. Same happen in the case of Reshma and
Ahmed when they shift to United Kingdom from the Bangladesh, they are also faced various
challenges which directly and indirectly impact on getting effective healthcare services, from
which some major are explain below:-
 Financial Challenge: It is define as an issues which is faced by Reshma and Ahmed
when they visit to any healthcare service provider because after moving to United
Kingdom from Bangladesh (Brooks and Thistlethwaite, 2012). They are going through
financial crises because government cut down the income support benefits for families
along with this at respective time Ahmed also lost his job. Due to which if Ahmed and
his family go to any healthcare professional or service provider they not able to get

treatment effectively due to lack of money. This will directly impact on the health of
family members because they are not able to get proper services as well as facilities
according to their disease or issue.
 Communication or language Challenge: It is define as issues which are face by a
person when he / she not understand or know particular location language. Due to this
challenges they go through other major issues because they not able to communicate
effectively to others (Brown, Farrelly and Loorbach, 2013). In respect of Ahmed and
Reshma the move from Bangladesh to United Kingdom and they didn't know to speak
English which impact on their communication. Due to respective issues they also not able
to get proper medical facilities because in every healthcare agency translator are not
available as well as both Reshma and Ahmed not English. This will lead to challenges
while providing medical facilities because healthcare professional not able to understand
what both people are try to communicate.
 Culture Challenge: It is define as issue which are face by a person when they move
from one culture to another because they not aware of particular one. In respect of
Reshma and Ahemd, they belong to Bangladesh and at that place overweight is seem as
symbol as wealth and prosperity but at United Kingdom it will be consider as unhealthy
person. So when both the person visit healthcare agency they are seems as a patients and
treated like the same.
These are some of the major challenges which are faced by Reshma and Ahmed while
taking healthcare facilities or services
2. Why do you think Reshma and Ahmed would face barriers while accessing healthcare?
If a person switch their location or nation they go through number of issues which
directly and indirectly impact on their lifestyle and other factors. In respect of Reshma and
Ahmed they move from Bangladesh to United Kingdom and after shifting they are going through
various barriers which impact on their healthcare accessing situation. From which some major
are given below:-
 Financial barriers: For getting any facility it is necessary for a person to have effective
financial support so that they can consume or redeem it properly (Calder and Horwath,
2018). In respect of Reshma and Ahmed, after moving to United Kingdom they are going
through financial crises due to which they may also not able to attain medical or

healthcare facilities in effective manner. This is so because when they go to healthcare
centre then they have to purchase different type of medicines, therapy or other facilities
for which they required to pay money which is difficult for Ahmed and Reshma.
 Language barriers: This is one of the main barriers which are faced by a person when
they switch place or nation and due to this they also go through several issues which
impact on the lifestyle (Copoeru and et. al., 2013). In context of Ahmed and family they
move from Bangladesh and they also didn't know to speak English due to which they not
able to interact with other effectively. So when they go to take medical facilities they also
faced issues because not all healthcare centres have translator, which will arise
communication barriers. Along with this family of Reshma not able to understand doctor
and same will happen to doctors or medical professional.
 Culture barriers: Every place or nation have different culture and when a person move
to one place to another they face issues related to it. In respect to Reshma and Ahmed
they move from Bangladesh and at that place overweight is seen as a symbol of wealth
and prosperity whereas at United United Kingdom it is seems as unhealthy condition of a
person. So when respective peoples go to healthcare centre they face issue because doctor
will concern with their overweight issue.
These are the main issues which are faced by Reshma and Ahmed while accessing health
care services or facilities because United Kingdom is totally diverse from the Bangladesh.
3. What could potentially be the reasons for your identified barriers and how could inter-agency
working impact positively on their well being?
In the case of Reshma and Ahmed they are going through various barriers after moving to
United Kingdom from Bangladesh. This is so because the culture and tradition of both the places
are totally difference due to which Reshma, Ahmed and their child are facing various difficulties
which impact on the lifestyle and well being (Durie and Wyatt, 2013). Some of the major
barriers which are faced by respective family are given below:-
 Financial issues: Reshma and Ahmed are facing financial issues after arriving United
Kingdom. This is so because government recently cut down the family income support
benefits as well as in this condition Ahmed also lost his job. Along with this, both
Reshma and Ahmed can not speak English due to which they not able to communicate
properly to others, which is also major reason for not getting proper job.

 Language issues: Both Ahmed and Reshma not speak English as well as they also have
no formal education before coming at United Kingdom. Due to this they not able to
communicate effectively to their neighbours, local community peoples and interviewer.
Along with this Ahmed also lost his confidence and also lost his job which directly lead
to financial issues.
So in order to resolve these issues or barriers which are faced by Reshma, Ahmed and
their child, inter agency can conduct various practices which lead to enhance in well being in
positive and effective manner. Some of the major practices are given below:-
 Provide job opportunities: In order to resolve this issue inter agency can provide
Ahmed and Reshma job opportunities so that they can improve their lifestyle or standard
of leaving (E. Anderson and et. al., 2013). Along with this it is essential to respective
agencies to provide job opportunities to Ahmed and Reshma in that organization or
location where there is less use English is done.
 Conduct training for language: It is also necessary step for inter agencies to provide
training or counselling session to Reshma and Ahmed so that they can learn English
effectively. Through this Reshma and Ahmed also able to communicate others peoples
properly as well as it will also help them in getting best job opportunities at United
Kingdom which will help in improving standard of life.
 Shift family to same culture locality: The inter agency can also provide or arrange same
culture locality like Reshma and Ahmed belong from because through it they will fell
comfortable at United Kingdom (Gil-Garcia, 2012). Along with this it will also help them
in communicating effectively as well as their will also a chance that both the peoples can
job opportunities at same location which help in dealing financial issues.
These can be the major strategies which can be conducted by Inter agency in order to
overcome Reshma, Ahmed and their child from the issues which they are facing at United
Kingdom.

TASK 2
1. Analyse how lack of good leadership amongst healthcare agencies would impact negatively on
Ahmed and Reshma, particularly within the excerpts of the principles of care ethics as well
as the multi-disciplinary working initiative in healthcare.
At every place healthcare agencies plays an essential role because they provide other
services and facility which make life a person more effective and healthy. In case of Reshma and
Ahmed they shifted to United Kingdom and after that they are going through several issues such
as related to culture, language, financial and so on (Jones and Pound, 2012). Moreover it is duty
of healthcare agencies to provide proper support to society and if they not do so they may face
consider as negatively. Such as if any healthcare service provider only concern or decide to
provide facilities to rich peoples then Reshm and family not able to get proper healthcare
facilities or services if they get ill. On the other hand if the healthcare agencies not have any
translator as well as medical professional also only communicate in English then Reshma and
Ahmed not able to communicate them as well as they also not able to make other understand
(Lewis and et. al., 2015). Due to this they respective family not able to get proper medical
facilities in order to cure illness or other issues. Along with this it will also develop negative
impact on healthcare agencies in the society.
So it is essential for the healthcare agencies or centre to adopt proper principles of care
ethics and multi-disciplinary working initiative at healthcare industry. From which some major
are explain below:-
Principles Of Care Ethics
There are mainly four principles of healthcare ethics which are generally adopt by
healthcare agencies or centre in order to provide quality services to the patients or needed
peoples. From which some are given below:- Autonomy- In healthcare this term refers to right of patient to retain control on their
body. According to this principles medical professional will provide all the informations
about the treatment and they patient will be free to take their own decision according to
them (How the Four Principles of Health Care Ethics Improve Patient Care, 2019). But
according to medical professional it is not the best because all decision of patient are not
effective for their life.

 Beneficence- In respect of this principle healthcare provider or professional must do
those activities or practices to patients which are beneficial for them in every situation. It
is also essential for them to have proper intention to do the most effective practices with
patients so that they get cure effectively and properly.
 Non Maleficence- It is one of the majorly know principles of healthcare ethics which
mean “To do no Harm”. According to this principles of healthcare provider must take
effective decision for their patients so that it will harm them in ant case (Marsden,
McMahon and Youde, 2013). Along with this, they must also take decision which have
positive impact on the individual.
Multi-Disciplinary Working Initiative In Healthcare
There are also several multi disciplinary working initiative at healthcare which is
essential for professional to follow it in order to provide quality services to the patients. From
which some are given below:-
 It is necessary for healthcare professional or doctors to respect as well as trust their
patients because through it they able to provide quality services to them which leads to
cure of patients effectively.
 It is also essential for medical professional to adopt as well as follow all clinical
guidelines developed by government because through it they able to conduct their work
with proper quality (McGarry and Simpson, 2012).
 It is also necessary for them to follow each and every system as well as protocols for
conducting communication and providing services because it will lead to offering of
quality services.
These are some of the major principles and multi-disciplinary at healthcare which is
essential for all professional to follow so that they can provide quality services to their patients.
2. Outline some of the policy issues faced by Ahmed and Reshma, explain what you could have
done differently.
There are various issue faced by Reshma and Ahmed while taking healthcare facilities at
United Kingdom. Due to this they not able to get proper treatment of their disease or illness, so it
is essential for healthcare service provider to conduct their facilities in effective manner by
considering all type of facilities effectively (McKeown, 2012). From which some major issues
are explained below:-

 Assessing treatment: It is consider as issues in which patient not able to get proper
treatment due to some barriers or limitation. In the case of Reshma and Ahmed they
migrated from Bangladesh to United Kingdom due to which they are facing culture and
language issues (Morrison and Arthur, 2013). At UK mostly peoples speak English and
local language but Ahmed and his family didn't know to speak English due to which they
not able to communicate effectively with others as well as medical professionals. Along
with this, healthcare centre at which they visited have no translator due to which Reshma
and Ahmed not able to communicate with professional effectively. So it is necessary for
healthcare service provider to always have translator in order to treat cross border
patients in appropriate manner.
 Healthcare service centre regulation: Every healthcare service agencies have their rules
and regulation as well as they also need to follow government policies in order to provide
quality services to their patients. In respect of Reshma as well as Ahmed situation they
didn't able to understand English due to which they also not determine what are the rules
and regulation of the particular healthcare service centre. Due to this both the people not
able to understand what to do and what not to which will also impact on their treatment
because they not able to get appropriate treatment of their illness or disease.
 Cross border cooperation: It is define as issues which are faced by peoples who come
from another location or nation. In respect of Reshma and Ahmed they are migrated from
Bangladesh to United Kingdom and when they go to healthcare centre their management
not provide any specific services for cross border peoples such as translator, rest rooms
and so on (Morrison and Glenny, 2012). This is essential for healthcare provider to have
translator because when it will help cross border peoples in communicating in more
effective manner to the medical professional. That will directly lead to quality healthcare
services to the patients.
 Financial issues: It is one of the major issues which are faced by a person when they
migrate to one country to another which will also impact on their medical service
treatment. In respect of Reshma and Ahmed, after moving to United Kingdom they are
facing financial issues because government cut down the family income support facilities
as well as Ahmed also lost their job. Due to all these situation his family not able to get
proper medical facilities which will lead to improper treatment of illness or disease.

Along with this healthcare centre at which they visited are more focus to treat high class
peoples by providing them costly services as well as facilities which is not possible fro
Ahmed and family to afford.
These are some of the major issues which are faced by Reshma and Ahmed while taking
healthcare services at United Kingdom. Due to this they also go through other major issues like
they didn't get proper treatment of their illness or disease.

of meeting Ahmed and Reshma’s family’s identified support needs
Multi disciplinary team is define as group of peoples related to health and social care and
these are members of diverse disciplines such as psychiatrists, social work, doctor and many
more (Nuttall, 2013). Generally these all members provide certain services to the society or
patients as well as they conduct their work effectively in order achieve their set goal and target.
There are various work or activities which are conduced by Multi disciplines team in order to
provide effective services. Some of the major practices which are conducted by respective type
of team are given below:-
 Multi disciplinary team enables practitioner as well as professionals who belong from
diverse background in order to communicate in effective manner for providing proper
services to society or patients.
 Along with this respective team also provide shared identity as well as purpose which
will encourage all team member to trust each other for serving needed peoples.
 Multi disciplinary team help in conducting better communication as well as trust among
the team members which will lead to more holistic as well as person centred practices.
 These disciplinary team will help in preventing unnecessary issues or errors in order to
avoid situation which harm individuals as well as their family members like Reshma and
Ahmed.
 Multi disciplinary team also provide appropriate resources which are used for conducting
more effective treatment and practices for curing individuals from any issues as well as
they also provide services to needed peoples who migrated from other country.

 These team members are professionals as well as practitioner who help in improving
others moral and reducing stress in effective manner.
Multi disciplinary team is also developed for insuring mental health of a person and in
this team member who are included are clinical psychologist, register nurse in psychiatrist nurse,
psychiatrist, social workers, clergyman, psychiatrist para professionals, creative art therapist,
occupational therapist, recreational therapist, diversional play therapist and many more (Rigg
and O'Mahony, 2013). These all members plays essential role in providing effective services to
Rashma and Ahmed, some of the major role and duties according to the multi disciplinary team
members are given below:-
Multi Disciplinary Team Members Role And Duties
Psychiatrist These member of MDT will perform assessment to
patients to needy peoples. They also provide therapists
and medications to the needed individual in order to
make their life effective. They also conduct
investigation for providing physical illnesses services in
proper manner.
Psychologists These peoples provide specialised taking therapies in
order to understand others need and issues. During this
these team members conduct in depth assessment of
Reshma and Ahmed brain in order to evaluate its
functioning and behaviour (Robbins and et. al., 2014).
Psychiatric Nurse These multi disciplinary team members will provide
talking therapies to individuals in order to administer as
well as monitor medication.
Occupational Therapists These members will conduct skill assessment and
formulate rehabilitation plan for delivering services or
facilities to an individuals as well as group.
Social Worker These multi disciplinary team members provide support
to the family by conducting talking therapies as well as
they also advice relation to the housing, support and

finance (Rouf, Larkin and Lowe, 2012).
By going to all these Multi disciplinary team members Reshma as well as Ahmed able
get proper services in order to resolve issues related to the situation which they are facing after
moving to United Kingdom from the Bangladesh. These issues are financial crises, language
issues which lead to other issues like communication, loss of job, not understanding others and
many more. Along with this there are number of advantages of multi disciplinary team in health
care, from which some are given below in respect of Reshma and Ahmed:-
 These team members will provide access to their patients get communicate to with entire
team of experts in order to get proper support as well as medical facilities.
 This will also enhance the coordination among the service providers in order to provide
quality facilities (Ruducha and et. al., 2017).
 Multi disciplinary team members also expedites the referral procedure in order to provide
quality specific treatment to the patients.
 These team members also aware society or peoples about the services implementation
which they can acquire in particular situation.
 Multi disciplinary team member will also help patients or individuals to develop goal for
themselves so that they can work effectively.
These benefits are mainly gain by Reshma and Ahmed in when they go to Multi
disciplinary team member at United Kingdom after getting shifted from the Bangladesh. On the
other hand these multi disciplinary team also have some limitations which may affect decision
making of Ahmed and his family, some of the major disadvantages are given below:-
 In this situation there is involvement of the time pressure which impact on the quality of
service provided to society or individual (Webber, McCree and Angeli, 2013)
 In multi disciplinary team, members are come from different as well as unique
background due to which issues may arise which directly and indirectly impact on the
quality of services provided to Reshma and Ahmed or other peoples.
 This disciplinary team will required proper as well as frequent collaboration among the
members which is not possible at every time and situation.
 Along with this services provided by multi disciplinary team are based on the availability
of resources such as finance, manpower and other medical or non medical services. Due

to this if proper resources are not available then team members not able to provide
effective services to the needed person or society (You and et. al., 2015).
 In this sometime due to in complete information about the issues or a person multi
disciplinary team members may take some improper decision.
In this case it is necessary for Reshma and Ahmed to take their decision of visiting to
multi disciplinary team by evaluating its advantage and disadvantages. But it will be effective for
them to visit at respective place at United Kingdom after migrated from Bangladesh because they
provide them number of supports related to finance, job opportunities and so on.
CONCLUSION
By analysing above mentioned topics it can be determine and summarise that inter
agencies work very effectively and supportive from those peoples who migrated from one
location or nation to another country. They will provide number of facilities related to financial
support, language translator support, healthcare services and many more. There are various
challenges faced by a person related to healthcare when they move from one place to another
such as communication issues, financial issues and culture issues. For which inter agencies may
conduct several practices which help them in overcoming it effectively such as provide training
related to language, job opportunities and many more. In addition to this, it is necessary for the
healthcare department or agencies to consider principles of care ethics as well as multi
disciplinary in order to provide quality services to the immigrate peoples. There are also several
government policies and documents are available which help inter agencies to conduct their
work in effective as well as successful manner.
