INTRODUCTION
Computer networking is a concept which is used to connect different computers together.
These computers are connected with the purpose of sharing information and resources with each
other. Present report will provide scope of using this networking system. The study will contain
information about functional and non-functional requirements of to establishing a connectivity
between different systems. It will also focus on the protocols which are needed for establishing
inter-networking between computers. The report will also mention information about routers,
switches and IP addresses which are required in transmitting the information. This report will
also contain topology diagram and configuration to build connectivity between systems.
1.Scope of inter-networking
Computer networking is a method through which users can interact and exchange views
and thoughts. Inter-networking provides a huge scope in telecommunication industries. It can
also help in exchanging resources and data. Increasing use of internet in this modern world have
improved the way of sharing information among the masses of the world. Networking concept
helps in easily understanding the huge amount of complexed data structure (Chen and et.al.,
2018). There can be various scope which can be possessed by inter-networking in the field of
technology. It can provide multiple scope in this technology based world. Some points are
categorised below:
ï‚· Networking can be helpful in providing large variety of services to users. These service
providers include configuration, designing and inter-networking of different systems.
ï‚· It can be used in the various technology based world for example, today most big
companies are hiring the services rather than professionals such as Airtel and reliance
service provider.
ï‚· It also provides large designing opportunities to freshers.
ï‚· Networking also includes the knowledge routing, switching and different protocols which
can be helpful in establishing a large network. So networking can include wide range of
career opportunities in the field of CCNA.

perform functions (Han and et.al., 2017). It may be functional or non-functional requirement
which can be helpful in providing connectivity to different systems. When an connectivity is

ï‚· Functional requirements may consists of such devices which enhances the speed and
performance of networking. These tools may be the use of protocols and interface which
facilitates the easy and user-friendly applications to customers. Theses tools can be
helpful in starting computer networks and it also ensures the flow proper flow of
connectivity between computers.
ï‚· Non-functional requirements(NFR) are those which are concerned with security and
quality of services. These includes various features of networking such as portability,
reliability and security of inter networking (Katsaros and et.al., 2014). It might be
wireless or wired connectivity between different workstations.
3. Design of networking based on the human concepts
These networking designs are considered to build a strong architecture of connected
systems. It can be used to provide simple connectivity concept in this complexed inter-
networking technology. This is basically a framework which is designed to provide a basic
vision which involves framework which provides a simple visualisation of connected systems
among all. Networking design uses the following approaches in establishing networking
connection between different systems. It may be top-down or bottom- up concept to design
networking. Following approaches are described below:
1. Top-down approach: This is a popularly approachable method as it includes the
designing of networking concept from top to bottom. This is generally designed by
analysing the needs of the company from high to low. It is basically developed according
to the need of existing network. It also analysis the network traffic to change routing and
switching schemes to produce an effective network.
2. Bottom-up design: It starts its networking by physical layer of OSI (open source inter-
networking)model. Here it is a most broad category to develop a powerful networking. It
uses wide bandwidth to transmit the data and information from source to destination. It

4. Requirements of internet protocols (IP) and its justification in a tabular form
Internet protocols are internet service providers which help in detecting the device and its
location. Commonly it is a combination of 4 byte number which is represented in decimal and
each number can be separated by a dot (Zheng, K. and et.al., 2015). Default IP address in Ipv4
which as used as internet service provider. There are lot of versions introduced and now the
latest version will be used is Ipv6 (internet protocol version 6). This is generally used to manage
and control requests generated by clients. IP addresses are used to track the system and it also
identifies the frequently arriving requests. These are used to track the records of data which is
being transmitted to the network. Each device can be identified by its unique address which can
be called as transmission control protocol. TCP/IP is used as a communication protocol which
connects server and clients to internet. Internet protocol addresses are allotted to a specific
system for monitoring the activities of subnets. When user sends a request to server then server is
asked to provide a response of a particular request generated by user so in order to send back the
appropriate response server tracks the information of device to deliver the data (Career in

5. Topology diagram of networking including Switch configuration, Router configuration,DHCP
configuration
Topology is a arrangement of different networks which share the information and
resources to each other. It uses different nodes and connecting lines to develop connection
between networking devices. These topologies might be physical or logical. Physical topology is
considered as a communication network which can be built using a proper structure and layout of
workstations. Logical topology can be defined as the connection of different networks via
wireless technology (Wickboldt And et.al., 2015). There are large number of different
topologies used in order to establish large connections such as point-to- point, bus, star, ring,
mesh, tree and hybrid topology of networking. Differejnt type of topologies define different
types of structures through which devices are inter-connected to each other. Inter-networking
uses multiple tools in order to communicate different through develop communication between
different channels. Such tools are as follows:
Switch configuration: This is used to configure an IP addresses and subnet masks. Switches are
used to transfer the data in packets and these data can be combined to each other using their IP
addresses which are configured by Switch configuration.
Router configuration: Router is considered as a networking device which is used to forward
the data packets which are taken by switches. When any information is transferred across the
internet then router configuration helps to configure the route of communication.
DHCP configuration: It is dynamic host configuration protocol which allows the
communication of different devices using dynamic linking services (Zeydan and et.al., 2016). It
provides dynamically connected networks which is established automatically in order to develop
connections.

visualisation of using inter-networking concepts.
