INTRODUCTION
Intercultural is generally describes as communities where there is deep understanding as
well as regards of all cultures. The aim of this report is to discuss the personal intercultural
experiences at workplace (Klyukanov, 2020). The topics which are going to be covered in this
report are description about situation related to intercultural communication and some
recommendation as per experiences.
MAIN BODY
Personal intercultural experiences at work
Intercultural communication is considered as the communication among individuals from
two different cultures. Moreover, within workplace the intercultural communication is
undertaken as aspects where individuals come together from different countries, determine with
various ethnic groups or speak other languages for collaborating and developing relation with
each others. For example, currently I joined my new job where I have to work with individuals
who are form different culture and also speak different languages. Mainly one of my team
members is from Japan and he always try to speak in Japanese as he is not comfortable to speak
any other languages including English. But he can write in English well. So, we generally
perform written communication techniques for sharing things but while working in a group in
about a week I found myself frustrated as cannot able to communicate and interact with him in
effective manner. As a result I cannot bale to perform my task efficient due to which monthly
target are not get achieved and got bad feedbacks from higher authority.
Another example is if Human beings from Latin and Middle Eastern cultures boost their
voices, colleagues from extra impartial cultures can overestimate the diploma of opposition
being said. On the flip side, when people from Asia or Scandinavia use silence and unreceptive
body language to convey opposition, the message is often misplaced on greater emotionally
expressive friends. In many Universities in Australia, peer gaining knowledge of is a nicely-
hooked up practice that helps college students in learning and gaining information in both formal
and informal ways.
For example: Intercultural communication mainly relates to issues pertaining to speech and
culture of those belonging to an environment or land different from their own. It is obvious that a
person who grows up in China is going to have a different culture than someone born and

brought up in the United States. Even people from the United Kingdom find it difficult to adapt
to the United States and vice versa, though these are seemingly similar countries and even speak
the same language.
Therefore, after analysing the above situation this has been determined that communication
problems are being occurred among them. Due to which the task is not performed well and both
are not able to attain their team as well as business goals. In addition to this, it has been also
analysed that intercultural communication skills is essential at workplace as this helps
individuals to understand the team members ideas, plans and strategies for doing work as well as
also reduce the chance of having conflict among them (Makhmatkulov, 2020). Moreover, it is
also helpful to attain the objective in more effective and productive manner.
Thus, it has been recommended that within all workplace the high authority have to conduct
some get together where all can able to share their countries cultures. Along with this, they also
have to conduct some programmes or session so that they would able to learn about various staff
culture and languages in much effective way. Apart from this, it has been also suggested that the
entity have to develop intercultural communication skills through opting languages course at
basic level. I intend then to keep an informal, submit-path interview (Hedge, 2005) with the
newbies to elicit their feedback and advantage an information of their notion of its usefulness for
his or her quick and lengthy-term needs and desires. The trainer self-record another form of
formative assessment- will aim to study course content, objectives and teaching method (Ibid.)
and recommend modifications for future publications.
CONCLUSION
Based upon the above report, this has been concluded that it is important for all firms to
promote intercultural communication skills. As this helps them to expand their business
internationally as they can effectively communicate with respect countries people in appropriate
manner.
