INTRODUCTION
The current situation of enhanced competition and globalisation in business environment
made it mandatory and more vital for all organisation to maintain and have proper management
of cultural diversity and inclusion at its workplace. But still, some challenges and adverse
situation are also lead out by creation of cultural diversity. Thus, the current assignment is based
on personal experience and and situation that are faced and involved by me while working at a
cultural diversified workplace along with some valid recommendations for having more effective
intercultural communication at workplace.
Main Body
The cultural difference has become one of the most common phenomenon that exists at
workplace of a company as with the globalisation and enhanced interaction and connection level
of world economies the cultural diversity has become an essence for all companies. Cultural
diversity can be understand and taken as a difference present in the beliefs, language and
behaviours of individuals along with the diversity in the their personal practices and expression
which makes them unique and different to a specific ethnicity or work culture of a firm. Many
experience and situation and encountered by an individual within an culturally diversified
workplace. The first and foremost situation that is faced by me in a cultural diversified
workplace comprises of issue of Language difference which makes it more difficult and complex
to get adjust with new business environment and culture. This situation and instance of having
language difference is taken as a main reason and cause behind leading situation of
misunderstanding among me and other workers.
Thus, lack of coordination and proper interaction with other co-workers and management
is faced as most vital situation and issues by me while working in the current culturally
diversifier workplace. Apart from this, the some adverse situation related with the acceptance of
my diverse view point and issue of respect is also encountered by which makes me feel a little
dejected because of my ethics and cultural difference at workplace. Thus, a reflection about my
personal experience about the situation faced at the culturally diversity comprise of issues of lack
of proper coordination and issues associated language and communicational gaps. Further, apart
from these negative issues and implication, some positive instance and experience are also get by
me while working at the workplace of my company. The positive aspect and situation associated

with cultural diversified workplace comprises of the fact that it lead to enrichment in my known
skill and competencies. Many situation are faced and encountered by me when I am in direct
interaction and connection with workers who belongs to other culture and background, that
provided me an opportunity to understand and get a better glimpse about the view point and
better perceptive of other employees. Thus, an implication of my personal experience can be
drawn that working and involved at a culturally diversified workplace is vital and beneficial for
me as it support better learning and enhancement in my interpersonal skills and also provided a
better opportunity to gain enhanced knowledge about beliefs and view point of various culture.
On the basis of my experience that I gained and faced while working and involved with
people from other culture some issues in communication associated with difference in language
and beliefs along with issue of acceptance and respect were encountered by me. Thus, following
recommendations can be made on the basis of learning and experience gained by me for having
more effective intercultural communication at a diversified workplace:
Providing regular diversity training- The first and foremost step that can be taken by any
firm to ensure more effective intercultural communication comprises of providing regular
cultural training to employees as it boost there knowledge and understanding about the various
culture and different ethical norms and expression associated with various culture. Therefore, it
plays a vital role in leading a positive interaction among employees along with creating an
atmosphere of respect at workplace for having more effective intercultural communication at
work.
Improved orientation programme- Providing and leading out effective orientation
programme is also a highly recommended as it ensure a better introduction and formal
interaction of a new employee with its co-workers and new work environment. Therefore,
improved orientation programmes remove the chances of chaos and misunderstanding at
workplace through clearly defining the job roles and responsibilities thus, lead to a more
effective intercultural communication at work.
CONCLUSION
On the basis of above assignment, a conclusion can be that the concept of cultural
diversity is vital to enhance the skill level and competencies of an organisation through leading a
combination more talented and skilled employees at workplace with different perceptive and new
