Introduction
Culture is a particular way of life followed by a particular group of people. People
follows the same traditions, customs, rules and regulations of the society. There are different
types of cultures and traditions in the society that are passed to one another by genetics or
heredity. Communication is the process by which people communicates with one another. It
can verbal or non-verbal both. So, intercultural communication is also known as the cross-
cultural communication. It is because people of different cultures communicate with one
another with the help of the various skills, abilities and information. So, I think the
intercultural communication can motivate a person to assume, identify, judge, learn and
accept new things while respecting one’s own thoughts and knowledge about improving the
life.

time.
Impact of Deep cultural roots on the personal value, belief, behavior and knowledge
Good and deep cultural and traditional roots can help the person to improve or change
its beliefs and values. The behavior of the person also changes according to the need, time
and situation. The person not only learns to communicate with the people of different culture,
values etc. but also learns to accept and adjust with the new cultural changes so that they can
give their best. The person is also able to self-realize about him or herself and the society as a
whole so that they provide their views on the particular topic. They become discipline,
determined and dedicated while performing or learning any new works for the betterment of
the society. People also learn to respect and work cooperatively in spite of belonging from
different race, culture etc (Casmir, 2013). USA is one of the best example of intercultural
communication as people of different countries live together, respect each other and give
their best for the development of the organization and the country as a whole.
Influence and impact of Assumptions or underlying unspoken beliefs on our identity
Culture and assumptions are interrelated with one another and plays an important role
in the developing a good personality and behavior of a person while performing any kind of
activities etc. They can even help the person to gain good mental as well as physical
wellbeing so that they can perform well in any kinds of activities they are related with.
Culture is also closely related with the better development of the organization as employees
of diverse backgrounds work together to accomplish the given targets within the given time.
People also learn to shared their thoughts, values, beliefs and assumptions with one another
so that they can gain success by behaving properly with one another. Assumptions also

culture and performance as well. So, according to me correct assumptions can be formed with
the help of the inter cultural communication.
Role of culture in shaping or challenging the assumptions of belief, values, behavior,
knowledge
Culture also plays an important role in preparing or challenging the assumptions of
belief, values, behavior, knowledge etc. while performing any kind of activities in both the
personal and the professional life. In an organization, culture and assumptions not only
motivates the person to use his or her acquired knowledge, skill etc. to accomplish the tasks
but also helps the person to learn and adopt new skills and learning from others as well. The
employees can learn by observing the experience skills of the person. They are even able to
change or adjust their values and behavior too. According to me the nature and type of work
culture and structure motivates me to give my best to accomplish the tasks. Good and
interpersonal skills also help me to face any kind of challenges and gain opportunities as well.
For example – in the organizations of the US, employees are provided with various trainings
and guidance (Leonardi, and Rodriguez-Lluesma, 2013). They are able to perform well by
facing and solving the challenges with proper solutions.
Roles of assumptions in stereotypes
Assumptions and stereotypes can affect the behavior, performance and personality of
the person. It is because of the assumptions or the values that the employees behave or react
differently on certain situations. The employees are also able to use their experiences at the
right time and at the right place. The better use of intercultural communication skills helps the
person to solve various kinds of problems with proper solution. The values, beliefs,
performance etc. changes depending on the personal assumptions. I believe that certain

assumptions or stereotypes are helpful and some are harmful for the people. It is because
same techniques to solve or handle problems and perform well may or may not be successful
in all situations. The person should be able to think differently based on the tasks. For
example—In US organizations, employees think differently and exchange their views so that
the best way can be identified to perform well and accomplish the targets easily (Martin and
Nakayama, 2013). Good and diverse work culture also helps to accomplish the
responsibilities perfectly.
Impact of assumptions on the intercultural communication through learning and
gathering knowledge
So, it is clear that the assumptions play and important role in developing a good
intercultural communication among people of different culture, traditions, ideas, perspectives
etc. The people or the employees gives their best to improve the society as well as the
performance of the organization with the help of the learning skills and knowledge. The
confidence, self-respect as well as the performance of the employees improves a lot. They are
also able to accept and adjust with the diverse work culture and learn to respect the ideas and
views of others. They even change their mindset and gathers knowledge by observing the
performance or listening the experience of others. Communication, behavior and personality
of the person always improves a lot (Sorrells, 2015). Therefore, I feel assumptions are good
as I am able to achieve good growth and success by working hard, learning new techniques
and accepting the new and challenging situations as well. The US organizations emphasizes
more on work culture so that both the employees and the firm can sustain.
Conclusion
Hence, it can be clearly understood that intercultural communication plays an
important role in the better growth, development and performance of the employees, the
