This subject provides an advanced study of Interface Design and Evaluation. The subject will
look at various contexts that affect interface design and will employ both design and usability
principles to evaluate and design interfaces. It includes the creation of usability testing
strategies to ensure that both the design and usability requirements are met as well as the

Success Criteria
Key assumptions
So our case study as we selected for the assignment will be:
The online gift shop case study that is located in the ITC504 Interact
Resources folder.
2. Overview
A local gift shop wants to get their online presence to high stage in front of users. They observe
that their business gradually slowing because more customers ordering gifts from another gift
shop which is “click on it to go to that gift site please” and another site also involves as
https://www.daraz.pk/gifts/.
3. Vision
So our local gift shop panel decided to protect us from that sites we have to increase their
customer base having better online presence having to that stores. However, they realize that
they cannot compete directly with the large online gift sellers on price or range of stock. So we
have to find attractive point to attract customers for our site for more business.
4. Outcomes
That shop sells gifts for everyone including females, males and kids in this store. Also they take
special gifts orders from people and provide them from store on demand. The gift loyalty card

system also available for customers. Loyalty card holders receive a voucher to acquire gifts free
every four months. The value of the voucher is calculated at 8.5%.
5. Scope
Customers can also receive discounts for more purchases. The gift store has an inventory
management system and orders gifts for the store online. The gift store has a simple online
presence, but it is more of a point of presence which merely advertises the store and does not
give any real information about products or services. The site is updated, perhaps, once every
couple of months.
6. Objectives
Best categories for our customers are;
ornaments,
Homemade cultural components
Jewelry ,
perfumes,
clothing,
hampers,
Baby items, etc.
The owners are not sure which one of these categories may provide them with an entry to a
successful market.
7. Outputs and targets
They are interested in spotlighting one of the categories on the new site for a period. They
intend to rotate through these categories on a regular basis so that they can measure the
response to each. They intend to use these measurements to determine how to further
position themselves in the market.
8. Success criteria
1. Enquire after gifts not currently in stock;
2. convert those enquiries into special orders if required;
3. Have an online chat system running so that customers can chat with each other and gift
store staff.
The success criteria will be succeeded when they have to apply on their systems.
