Discussion Topic: “Understanding the internal environment is a necessary attribute of a modern
tourism and hospitality manager.”
In this blog, I will talk about the Tourism and hospitality industry internal environmental factor.
It makes impact on the economy of country, which is responsible for development of
destinations in different countries. In present era, this industry rapidly growing, so it is necesaory
to understand internal environment of tourism and hospitality. Managers and leaders are playing
a key role in this industry, which are responsible for changing environment in order to technical
and cultural advancement. According to (Jovicic, 2019), traditional understandings are changes
from smart and technical things, which is necessary for sustainable development of destinations.
While connecting (Jovicic, 2019) concept to the Conceptual Values Framework (CVF) of
(Quinn, Bright, Faerman, Thompson, & McGrath, 2015), there are many ways to improve
performance of organization based on four quadrants, which are collaborate, compete, create and
control. The Competing Values Framework (CVF) is playing a key role in to understand
organizational culture and can be used as reflecting personal qualities. It is an important tool,
which is better for reflection and understanding.
I am working as a manager in a restaurant, where new technical instruments are implemented for
improvement in the processes. It will provide better growth of restaurant in less time. It will also
provide competitive advantage to me and my team in the restaurant. In conclusion, the CVF can
provide better way to manage analytical processes in the restaurant with the help of effective
communication. CVF is also helpful in reducing competition using technical concepts (Bharwani
& Talib, 2017).
