MANAGEMENT 1
As a newly appointed teacher of the first leap where I would be teaching young children. It
will be going to be the tough job for me as I am used to dealing with the adults who can be
managed with ease. Earlier, I had various successful experiences in training adults where I
received awards of excellence. As I got selected as a teacher for children, keeping in mind
the requirements of the new profession, the new policy document has been issued where I had
to comply with the stated requirements mentioned in the document.
The policy document starts with the Foreword which describes about “First leap”
organization and its purpose for establishment (UNESCO, 2016). The organization was
started in 2008 with the motive to provide afterschool English programs to young learners.
Further, the policy document discusses about various phases of the training that include
written training session where they had to clear it to secure the entrance for 2-4 training
phases. The 2-4 training session will be continued in the initial four months of the
employment. Once the training for the teachers get over, they will be provided with the
regular sessions of training during their jobs which they have to attend compulsorily (Unicef,
2019).
In the section of the working attendance, teachers are expected to be punctual in their
approach and to be available at all days of working. In the cases, when the teacher is not able
to report in time, he had to advice the supervisors regarding it. In the late policy of the
company, an employee will be considered late even if he arrives five minutes above the
designated time. In other conditions, an employee will be marked on leave if does not fulfills
the work requirement.
There are various ways in which the standard time are scheduled according to the
convenience of employees and the companies. The company had formed two scheduled in an
effective manner. Moreover, an employee is allowed to work 40 hours in a week. The
company has allowed to pay its employees on the bases of the extra time and usually, they are
able to work an overtime on Monday or Tuesday (WORKPLACE HEALTH & SAFETY ,
2012).
There are times when the employees have to take the leave due to some important reasons
and they can apply for the leave through written mails. It is only after the confirmation with
the head department they can take leaves. They are also entitled to five days paid leaves in a
year thus easing it in the best manner to achieve the goals. Moreover, there are various
holidays that will be provided to them which will be based on the Chinese calendars. The

policy document also specifies various important requirements that are expected out of
teachers in the classroom. They are helpful in achieving the best outcomes from the
employees in the organization.
I have chosen children for teaching because of the high pay in the sector as more efforts are
required in training young children. Moreover, it will also improve my experience portfolio
in teaching.
