• With development and globalization, every country or part off world is
connected to each other through their economic and travel related
commercial aspects.
• In this condition, it becomes important for the healthcare .sector of these
countries to be effective and inclusive so that it could benefit a large
section of the society.
• This paper discusses about one such organisation International Medical
Corps (Heymann et al., 2015).
Introduction
Overview of the organisation
• International Medical Corp impacts the society positively with a wide
range of aspects and actions that helps to uplift the communities and
societies that are suffering from critical health complications due to war
or crisis condition.
• In the crisis condition, when local population and communities are
unable to receive effective care, this organisation helps them by
providing quality care, both primary and secondary (International
Medical Corps, 2019).
• Further, it also helps them by increasing their reach to the care process
and making it affordable in the critical condition.
• In the critical disease condition, their support and efforts help people to
avail the resources that are basic fundamental rights of every human
(International Medical Corps, 2019).
Contribution to the common good My professional contribution
• As a nursing student. I also can contribute to the growth and
development of this organisation and help them to achieve their target.
• As a nursing student, I am empowered with the responsibilities such as
spreading awareness in the society, making people aware of their rights
and their health conditions, spreading their knowledge about health
conditions and helping them to avail their care related rights (Böttiger &
Van Aken, 2015).
• These are the responsibilities that I would be upholding in my
educational institute and my locality so that they could develop abilities,
knowledge and health literacy for the growth and development of the
care process.
• Further, with awareness and increased knowledge, they would also help
in spreading healthcare knowledge in the society (Heymann et al.,
2015),

• This organisation works for the people that are suffering from war, or
crisis as well as during emergency condition as it is their duty to provide
care to the affected individuals (International Medical Corps, 2019).
• They are determined to provide the patients with emergency medical
relief and providing the affected regions with care through their self-
sustaining medical team.
• This orgnaisations provides the affected individuals with primary care,
by providing them with primary and secondary care service, increasing
their reach to clean and hygienic water and health education through
their effective preparedness and emergency response (International
