INTRODUCTION
Abbott Risk Consulting it is engineering firm that has employed 69 employees. Its
headquarter is in Edinburgh. Study will frame aim and objective related to international HRM. It
will prepare questionnaire and will analyses data.

Background
Abbott Risk Consulting is a engineering various types of products in UK. HRM functions
of Abbott Risk Consulting include recruitment, selection, performance appraisal etc. Recruitment
in Abbott Risk Consulting is done every time whenever an employee leaves the organization.
Recruitment is the process of hiring the best candidates for the organization from outside or
within an organization, it reduces time and cost. Selection is the procedure when candidates are
selected for further test. Candidates go through various screening, interview, some tests and the
candidate who clear all is selected for the job and firm gives the offer letter. The senior staff of
Abbott Risk Consulting does the selection of employees on the basis of their qualification, and
their skills. Only educational qualification cannot give a job in Abbott Risk Consulting, there is
need to be good in other skills also like communication, hard working, disciplined etc. Training
is given to the employee so that individual can perform effectively and efficiently (Cascio,
2015).. On the job training includes working with the employees in the same environment in
which they are going to work in future with other employees. It include coaching, job rotation,
internship etc. Off the job training is given by mentors or other professional who are expert in
giving training. Off the job training view lectures, case study method etc. It is given to
employees when they are either new or it is given to employees when new technology is
introduced in the company (Al Ariss and Sidani, 2016).
In order to operate business successfully in international marketplace companies are
required to meet international standards. These standards play significant role in retaining talent
and motivating them so that company can manage its workers well. It supports in effective
utilisation of resources by hiring right person on the right job.

Project is all about particular activity which is done to fulfil particular objective. Project
management plan is a written document which covers different phases of a business cycle. It
includes various things which need to be kept in mind while doing the business. Proper planning
helps the business in successful goal achievement and doing work according to the objectives of
the company. Planning includes successfully carrying out various operations like plan initiation,
execution of plan, monitoring it and execution. The responsibility of the manager to assign all
the work to the employees for timely completion of task (Brewster, Mayrhofer and Farndale,
2018). It is very important because it ensure proper planning and execution of project in
systematic manner so that overall goal can be accomplished.

Resources: In order to carry out this research scholar will need several resources such as human
resource, technical resource, financial resource, time resource etc.

Work breakdown structure is a graphical representation of a project or research

researchers and further how the data is being analysed and taken in use. The research philosophy
is of four types that are pragmatism, positivism, realism and interpretivism. In the present study
the researcher has used interpretivism in Abbott Risk Consulting because it benefits the company
to study the data in natural like interview or observation which tends to give true and honest
information.
RESEARCH APPROACH: it refers to procedure in which the data is to be studies in detailed
by the the researcher. Research approach is of two types that are deductive and inductive. In the
present study the researcher has used inductive method which benefits the researcher as it gives
flexibility and the researcher has not to follow the information which was previously determined
and is able to get correct conclusion(Fletcher, 2017).
RESEARCH DESIGN: It refers to the set of methods and procedures which helps in collecting
of data to analyse the problem. These are of two types that are descriptive and correlational. The

because it helps to the analyse situation when researcher tries to solve the current problem by

DATA COLLECTION: It refers to collection of the data which emphasis to have accurate
information for the outcome. Data collection can be done in two types that is primary data
collection and another is through secondary data collection. In the present study of the Abbott
Risk Consulting company the researcher collected the information from both the sources as
primary data gives the true and fair information and secondary data helps to analyse the present
data with previous information that is available with the researcher(Gabriel, 2015).
SAMPLING: In sampling technique the characteristics of the large population are pre-
determined with the help of number of observations. Some of the sampling methods are random
sampling, systematic sampling, cluster sampling, etc. In the present study the researcher has used
the random sampling method which benefits to not become bias, it creates the balance between
subset who represents the potentiality in whole group(Pruzan, 2016).
DATA ANALYSIS: it refer to analyse the data by evaluating the data using as tool to discover
the useful information, inspecting , transform and modelling data which helps to get the
conclusion and support in the decision making process. Data analysis is of two types diagnostic
and thematic. In the present report the researcher has used the thematic approach in which
qualitative analysis is done it pinpoints, records, and discovers the patterns within the collected
data. The present study based on the Abbott Risk Consulting company in which the researcher
get the flexibility in the conducting the relation between the data as it helps to identify the
implicit and the explicit ideas that are present in the data.
ETHICAL CONSIDERATION
It is considered as most essential element that is helpful in minimizing issues in research
project or dissertation(Basias and Pollalis, 2018). Scholar has to ensure following all ethics so
that no complications get arise. In the current investigation researcher has ensured taken
permission from all the answers without forcing them to answer of asked questions. In the

research include doing the research on time, using proper resources to complete the research.
There should be proper and trustable source from which the data needed in research should be
collected. The data can be collected from various newspapers, library, scholars reports etc. The
information should be verified by the government documents or agencies if it covers any legal
point in the research. While performing the research, I learned various things. I got to know
about the various sources from which the information can be obtained, various scholars who
have already done these research. I have got to know the various types of training and
recruitment process which the company performs to choose a candidate. I also learned how to
complete the work in limited funds. Quality research is very important if one want to do a
successful research. With the help of research I have gained lots of knowledge and information
which helped me to achieve the objective of my research topic. With the help of research I get to
know that training given to employee reduces the risk for company to survive in the market.

I learned the importance of time and I got the skill of doing the work on time with
covering all the topics which are needed to complete the research. I also got to know about the
risk which are associated with the research. This research gave me a good experience and
knowledge of the recruitment and selection process of a company and how it is performed in
different multi-national companies. I have developed my communication and technical skill
which will be better for me, as I would be able to use software in future investigations easily
which will give me better results. Good communication will support me in dealing with
respondents effectively hence no trouble will be created in future studies.
