Role within the Group
My role in this group is the leader. As a group leader, my main duty is to look after the
tasks that has been allocated to each and every member of my group. The assignment which is
given to us is on International Marketing, and each of the 4 members of our group including me
as has been divided the tasks according to our strength and weaknesses, so that it can be
completed within the due date given by our professor. It can be stated in this context that through
the exercise of leadership, leaders can influence any group of human work effectively and
efficiently. This actually enhances the group effort and this relay helped in completing the task
that has been allotted by our education institute. Leadership pulls up the group to a higher level
of performance through its work on human relations, and the same is followed in our group with
myself as the leader of this group. Integration and reconciliation the personal goals with the
educational goal as another major role of a leader and I tried my best to perform the same while
completing the allotted task. Solicitation of support to my group members is the most important
part according to me and I did that while doing this international marketing report with my other
3 members of our group.
Strengths
In this context, it can be said that understanding as well as helping each other are the
major strengths that is possessed by our group members. Understanding between the group
members help to complete even a difficult task with ease and helping each other will help to
reduce the mistakes that has been occurred had it been done by a single member. I also motivated
them enough on completion of this assignment on time and with minimal mistakes. According to
me, leadership is the social skill of leadership that accomplishes objectives by mobilization and

utilization of people. The same happened in our group and we completed the assignment within
the set deadline with not facing much difficulties. As we study in the same batch and we know
each other for the last 4 years, so we possess a healthy relationship between us and we also have
worked together in some of the previous assignments along with taking part in different cultural
and recreational activities that has been organized by our educational institution. All these
activities that we have done together has helped to work on the assignments that has been
provided by our educational institute.
Difficulties
The major difficulty that is faced by us is that we all belong from different background,
and thus apart from the basic knowledge gained in school, all the backgrounds varies from each
other. Another issue that hampers our group work is the language barrier, as 2 out of 4 group
members are weak in English and sometimes we have to take help of online language translator
to make them understand what is required from them while doing group project and what are not.
As we belong from 4 different countries, the cultural background are totally different, and
sometimes we had face difficulties while doing various assignments given by our lecturers and
professors. We also vary in ages, though it did not harm our relationships and completion of
tasks. The main difficulty that is faced is the language barrier, which hampered the quality of our
tasks and sometimes we were penalised as we missed the submission deadlines of our tasks.
My Contribution
Being the group leader, the main part of my duty is to motivate others while performing a
task. I have to check each other’s work before compiling them in a final report after proofreading
them. Apart from this, I also has to look after the format parts, as I possessed the required

informational and technology knowledge along with courses from computer operations. As a
group leader, my main duty is to look after the tasks that has been allocated to each and every
member of my group. The assignment which is given to us is on International Marketing, and
each of the 4 members of our group including me as has been divided the tasks according to our
strength and weaknesses, so that it can be completed within the due date given by our professor.
As a group leader, l was the one who is motivating the group members apart from checking their
work and putting it together in one report. I had the best IT skills in the group, thus I had to look
after the formatting part of all the tasks that are assigned to us.
Learning
The learning that I gained from working as a group is how to work with different people
who possess from different culture and backgrounds. The other 3 members of my group had very
difficult with time management while completing this task and are looking for information
sources. Becoming the group leader, I helped them with the educational knowledge that I possess
along with solving their queries. Being a good motivator by myself, I also motivated them to
concentrate on their respective task and finish it off in style as well as in time. Leadership pulls
