The fibre optics has been added in the network of the company that would help in
providing higher bandwidth and also transmit data over significantly longer distances. The
company could provide the employees of the organisation with improved internet services
that could be used for completing their tasks quickly. VLAN has been added in the network
of the organisation that would allow the various computer as well as the devices in being
virtually connected among one another like being in the single LAN sharing single broadcast
domain. The VLAN would be helpful for the organisation because it could be used for
segmenting the large network into various smaller segments (Cao et al., 2020). VLAN could
be used in the organisation for various groups of users, functions and the departments without
requiring to be within similar geographical sector.
Summary of risks in network and recommendations
The firewalls have been implemented in the network of the organisation that would
help in securing the network extensively. Various routers have been added in the network of
the organisation after the switches that would transfer the internet to all the workstations of
the company. Some of the major risks in the network of the organisation are:
Computer virus: The computer viruses are considered as the pieces of the software
whose designing has been done for spreading from any one computer to another computer.
Proper antivirus programs helps in ensuring that the network is not affected by the computer
virus (Yang, Yang & Wu, 2017).
