INTRODUCTION
In the context of UNITED NATIONS, which has 193 countries within, the main function
of the United Nations is to work in coordination with different countries to promote peace and
welfare, settling disputes and making important international relations. This reports covers the
understanding of international relations and how it is presented, different approaches to study of
international relations, political actors in international relations, political issues, key issues in
international relations (Beigbeder, 2016).

International relations are nothing but in simple text is the study between different
nations, states and other non-governmental organisation. International relations help to promote
trade between different nations, pooling resources in order to face different economic issues,
encourage tourism business and other economic development activities. There are two major
theories are realism and liberalism. In Realism theory of international relationship is determined
by focusing on power, wherein nations belief to get stronger and attain competitive advantage by
accessing power. Liberalism is determined by mutual cooperation between nation for economic
development.

The main political actors and institutions in UN involves transactional corporations,
multinational organizations, non-governmental organisation of different nations who coordinates
different function to operate the activities of UN, these involves developing measures to resolve
social issues and promote peace and security worldwide (Galtung, 2019).

The international political issues of UN includes the climate and environment that
includes in taking sustainable approaches in order to protect environment, girl and women
developing stringent laws for issues like girls education, safety, peace humanitarian rights that
includes developing measures in order to promote and resolving issues of war, conflict among

the nations, data and technology for developing and adopting to latest technologies and safety
again cyber security, global health that includes measures for promoting health and safety.
Discuss key issues in contemporary international relations
The key issues faced by UN involves population dynamics wherein UK formulates
stringent policies in order to manage the population growth, sustainable financing issues includes
financing issues and delivering the financial support by keeping economic, social, environmental

Nationalism has replaced globalism

between the boundaries that brings economic development, by adopting globalism UN also
raises other issues such as prompting peace and social causes like war, data and technology,
