INTRODUCTION
The journey of learning for a student helps them in developing their skills to achieve
target objectives and goals (Di Stefano and et.al., 2016). Therefore, it is needed for them to
evaluate own abilities in order to make positive changes in them. After analysing own skills
and abilities, individual can set some goals in order to attain all the targets related to
improvement on timely basis. In this context, this report is going to cover an analysis of
individual’s skills as well as requirements of further improvement. Furthermore, learning
goals based on the skills analysis criteria as well as clear strategies for attaining them easily.
This report is basically prepared to develop an overall understanding of my own capabilities
and also to analyse where I need to focus more. This analysis will be helpful so as to develop
my positive possibilities in future time.
MAIN BODY
Part A. Where you are now
For an individual it is needed to evaluate their core skills and capabilities that may aid
them in career development practices (Mesoudi and et.al., 2016). Being a student I analysed
that some major skills which are required by an individual are Communications skill, time
management skills, team working skill, learning skill, problem solving as well as knowledge
of information technology, innovative and creative working approach and so on. In my
context, I evaluated that I am a fast learner thus it would be easy for me to develop myself by
analysing further requirements. In the duration of studying, I evaluated that my knowledge of
information technology is not as much efficient as I needs to be. Thus, it is required for me to
improve myself in such areas as much as possible. Furthermore, I required to develop my
team working efforts that can help me in developing other skills easily by analysing working
attribute of others. My analysis towards my skills determines that am good in practicing
session and my practical concept of knowledge is much better than theory. Thus, I always
results better in practical subjects because in those I can represent my ideas and thoughts
more effectively in front of others.
Part B. Study skills and learning goals
An individual always needs to develop personal approach to study as well as learning
that may help them in meeting target objectives and goals. I evaluated that study skills
classify on different areas as time management of studying, style of writing, effective

reading, note taking as well as fast learning. All these approaches helps in improving study
skills by managing all the things in aligned manner. A slow and long-term method is evolving
and upgrading study skills and it is also a mechanism of people.
The learning goals determines and offers the "reason" for studying. It introduces the
course student want to learn, teams typically start by choosing a subject, idea, theme, or topic.
Some are attracted to subjects that are especially difficult for learners to understand or for
teachers to instruct (Stenlund, Jönsson and Jonsson, 2017). My learning goals are increase
reading time, improve reading skills, and improve my writing skills by implementing new
ideas and thoughts. Furthermore, my long term goals related to improvement of
communication skills, time management skills and note taking approach.
Part C. Clear strategies for how you will achieve your goals
After analysing my current skills and learning practices I analysed that I needs to
work on some of my skills by setting some goals (Zhan and et.al., 2015). These goals are
based on my required needs as for increase reading time, improve reading skills, and improve
my writing skills. Thus, for this I needs to construct a time table in aligned manner in which I
needs to fix a time of my day to day activities. Furthermore, I also needs to take help of my
parents and teachers in reading and writing practices. I can also take help from online
sessions that may help them in improving my time management skills by providing some
time bound tasks to me. After implementing such I requires to review all my past activities
and present so that I can clearly evaluate changes in them. These kind of practices will help
me in improving my studying and learning goals easily.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been summarised that individual development plan is a
tool to support career and personal development of individual. The key aim is to help people
meet short and long-term goals, as well as to enhance existing results related to their student
career or professional at the same time. An IDP is not an appraisal instrument for success or a
one-time task but on this individual requires to provide their own contribution by timely
analysing their current skills and future requirements. Through this an individual can set their
target objectives as well as can construct strategies to attaining them easily. From this report,
I am able to formulate my own objectives for future time. This will be helpful to plan for
future course of action.
