The notable determination of the paper is to emphasis on the difficulties
confronted by overseas students in Australia. Students from every part of the world
come to Australia and gets admitted to educational institutions like the VET sector,
English language schools and higher education.
There are numerous challenges faced by these students coming in Australia
such as language problems, educational expectations and socio-cultural development
(Dekeyser and Koronios 2015). This paper will be aiming to understand the topic from
the opinion of a researcher as their opinion will be stated in the literature unit of the
paper. The next unit of the paper will be addressing the relevant literature associated
with the selected topic.

This unit of the paper will be focusing on the relevant literature as described by
reputed scholars from all over the worlds
As stated by Ahmad (2015), numerous challenges are faced by Asian students
pursuing their education in Australia. The researcher of the paper focuses hugely on
each of the factors which are the source of concern for the overseas students such as
the transportation issues, cooking food on their own, fighting loneliness and adjusting to
the climatic conditions of Australia. The insights of the challenges from the perspective
of the overseas students are the significant contribution of this paper (Henderson,
Barker and Mak 2016). However, the prime constraint of the paper is that it does not
discusses the issue of racism which is big concern for most of the overseas students
who are pursuing higher education in Australia.
As mentioned by Banjong (2015), homesickness is a major problem of the
overseas students of the VET sector. The researcher highlighted that leaving their
comfort zones is a huge challenge for overseas students as they tend to miss their
friends and family after coming to Australia. The researcher also stated that the
overseas students have to understand the norms and protocol which are followed in
Australia and this is a huge challenge for most of the students (Farley et al. 2016). Most
of the Asian students who comes to pursue their education in Australia face language
difficulties due to the accent followed by Australia. The prime advantage of this paper is
that the paper highlights all the factors which can have an effect on the career of the
overseas students and the limitation of the paper is that it does not highlight the
mitigation strategies of the identified problems.
As discussed Heng (2018), there are lots issues face by the overseas students in
Australia such as the financial challenges, racism and loneliness. The researcher stated
that racial abuse is a major challenge faced by Asian students. The researcher covered
up all the probable aspects of the challenges faced by the students in terms of the
mental and physical health of the students which might get affected due to the verbal
and physical abuse of the Australian citizens (Banjong 2015). The financial challenges
faced by the Asian students due to high rate of Australian Dollar is the significant

contribution of the paper. The limitation of the paper is that it does not focus on the
unhappiness of the courses offered in Australia.
According to Wang, Andre and Greenwood (2015), adapting to the way of living
is a huge challenge for all the overseas students working in Australia. The researcher
described the cultural differences between the overseas students and the local students
of Australia. The paper highlights all the remedies of the identified problems of overseas
students (Akanwa 2015). The intercultural changes are primarily focused in the paper
which can be very much helpful for the students who are planning to pursue their
educational carrier in Australia. There are lots of communication issues faced by the
Asian students in Australia according to the researchers of the paper. The challenges
from different perspectives is the primary focus of the paper. However, lack of case
study to support the discussions made in the paper is the limitation of this paper.
As stated by Coyne et al. (2016), there are lots of regulations and protocols
which are followed by few of the educational organizations in Australia which restricts
the overseas student from getting admission into the organization. The researcher
stated about the difficulties faced by overseas students from the educational
organizations. The paper presented that detailed description of the total number of
reported cases in the Victorian region. This resource focuses on all the aspects of the
encounters confronted by overseas students in Australia. The researcher of the paper
stated that there are varieties of defies confronted by most of the travelling students in
each location of Australia such as Perth, Melbourne and Sydney (Ahmad 2015). There
are lots of limitation associated with this paper, the primary limitation is that it is written
entirely in the generalized format rather than specifying any details. The cultural shock
faced by international students is also not discussed in details in this paper. Thus, the
paper lacks a critical analysis of the challenges tackled by travelling students in
Australia. The following unit of the paper will be highlighting the problem associated with
the research.
Research problem
The research problem which my team needs to address is reviewing the existing
educational environment of Australia. Identification of the dependent and the
independent variable of this research is also a concern of my team members. The
reliability of the secondary data and the choosing of the data analysis technique are the
other concerns of my team member in this project.
Research Question
The research questions which can help to understand the topic in an organized
way are described as follows.
 What are the Australian laws which protects international students from criminal
offence such as racism?
 How can the financial crisis of the overseas students be resolved?
 What are the probable way to deal to with the language difficulties and the
climatic variations?

