We know the importance of the international students coming from their home country in our
country for studies. They come with an expectation from our country, and there is a significant
contribution from their end to the economy of our country. So, it is essential that we take extra
care of the services provide to them. It is found that they are unlikely to recommend the
particular institution as a choice in their homeland. Despite the fact that the chances of affecting
the industry are less for the nation holds a strong position in the international market of
education, it is still a matter of concern.
I want you to make some changes in the university policies and integrate more ways by which
the involvement of the international students rise. It has been found that there is a relationship
between the experiences of the international students and the social life they. Therefore, to
improve the social skills of the international students, I would suggest you encourage different
ways of getting the local students and international students together. Universities present an
excellent orientation program but the time selected for the program was often when the students

did not get the chance to interact. Having an orientation program that would encourage the locals
and international students together help them befriend one another and result in a better social
life.
It is found that students with local friends are experiencing a much better social life. Therefore I
would like to request you to encourage such policies in the universities that would improve the
social interaction between the international students and the local students. A vital role to played
by the university-based social programs. It is not possible to force the international and local
students to become friends however both can be brought together during various social events
occurring in the university.

It is a well-known factor that the country’s education industry is highly depended on
international students. While the international students have a significant contribution to the
nation’s economy, they come with confident expectation. It is found that there is a certain
proportion of international students who are dissatisfied and unhappy with their experience of
studying overseas. It is also found that they are not likely to recommend the particular institution
as a choice in their homeland. Although the chances of affecting the industry are less for the fact
that the nation holds a strong position in the international market of education, it is still a matter
of concern.
It is interesting as well as surprising that the reason that has become the cause for dissatisfaction
and unhappiness of the international student is their social life. The international students are

confronted with culture shock, they feel homesick and tend to stick to students who are culturally
similar (Gomes 2018). The international students who have a healthy social life are found
relatively happier than then the one who have less local friends. Therefore I would request you to
implement policies and rules that would encourage both international students and domestic
students to get involved in social interaction. The reason for promoting social interaction
between the local students and the international students have several benefits. The local students
are benefitted by international students in term of cultural insights, nationalities and ethnicities.
The local students obtain the opportunity of meeting and mixing international students.
Therefore it is advisable to encourage the social interaction between the global and domestic
student as it will help the international students from culture shock, isolation or alienation.
