AI Summary
This report provides a reflective analysis of a research project focused on international trade problems during the COVID-19 pandemic. The report utilizes the Gibbs reflective model to examine the stages of the research process, including description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion, and action plan. The research explores the impact of COVID-19 on international trade, specifically addressing challenges faced by the UK. The report highlights the use of quantitative analysis, data visualization, and the importance of effective time management and research skills. The student reflects on their experiences, challenges, and learning outcomes, emphasizing the role of research tools and the need for continuous improvement. INTRODUCTION
Research is systematic and creative work that is undertaken to increase knowledge regarding
a particular topic. There is need of analysing, collecting and organising the information in order
to draw a valid conclusion (Lundmark and et.al., 2019). This report is based of Gibb’s reflective
model related to a research project. it helps to gain insight from the experience. There are six
stages in the reflective model that helps to know about the overall experience. It helps to know
about the skills that need to be improved.
MAIN BODY
Gibbs reflective model
This model is given by Graham Gibbs in 1988 and includes overall experience of a person.
It helps to analyse the situation and the feelings at the time of carrying the work. There are
various instances that take place in the life of a person at the time of doing job so this model
assists in learning. There is evaluation related to international trade problems in Covid 19. The
stages and experience is as follows:
Description: It is the first stage under which the individual describes the overall situation.
All the events that took place are mentioned in this report and the outcome of the same is also
mentioned. My experience is related to research product on international trade. It is in that due to
Covid 19 there are certain problems that are being observed in the world (Ribeiro and et.al.,
2019). One of them is related to flow of goods from one place to another cross borders. I carried
my research on this topic international trade at the time of Covid 19. The topic was difficult for
me and I was unable to understand what I will write. In the report we have first discussed the
research problem in effective manner. There is comparison of the data from 2018 to 2020 so that
real statistics can be understood. Overall data helps to analyse all the challenges that UK faced at
the time of covid 19 in regard to trade.. All the concepts and theories related to international
trade are mentioned so that proper analysis regarding the topic is gained. The stages of new
product development are also mentioned so that proper research (Chang, 2019). It also has its
cousin related to data base from the official website so that effective results take place.
Quantitative analysis is used to analyse the statistical data with the right tools and techniques.
Having proper knowledge of rules and techniques help to draw a valid conclusion. The
visualisation of quantity data is also done so that all the people are able to understand the report

in effective manner. Afterwards recommendation or also given so that all the problems can be
eliminated and there is free trade.
Feelings: I was excited and enthusiastic to carry on this research. It was a good experience
that helped me to learn a lot. There is need of being active at the time of research. By having
positivity and motivation, I completed the overall research. There were certain hurdles that tools
place at the time of completing the research project but my motivation helped me to attain
success. There is need of studying properly so that accuracy is attained.
Evaluation: It is evaluated that there is need of effective time management skills in order to
complete all the activities properly. I divided the overall task of the project in small activity and
then form the scheduled that help me to complete the work properly. It is necessary to work as
per the required activities and on right time (Hoa and Tuan, 2019). The use of right data is
necessary so that effective conclusion can be drawn. The use effective memorising skills helped
me to analyse and interpret the data properly.
Analysis: It is analysed that there are certain problems that UK has faced at the time of
covid-19. The use of proper analysis is necessary to carry on the work effectively. There is need
of managing the research in such a manner that all the important tasks are mentioned. The major
problem that I faced was regarding lack of knowledge related research tools. This is the reason; it
took me long to carry on the research in proper manner. I was able to complete the research
report in effective manner by taking help of peers and seniors. It is necessary to build relations
with others so that they help at the time of need.
Conclusion: It is seen that there are various changes that took place due to covid-19 in the
working of international trade. The changes are mentioned in the report and are presented with
visual images. It is necessary to carry on the projects in proper manner and present the report
effectively.
Action Plan: The action to improve time management skill is to form schedule. By
following the same all the activities will be completed properly. Regular writing and observing
other research reports help to carry on the research effectively (Slepcevic-Zach and Stock, 2018).
There is need of taking all such actions in order complete similar projects in future.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it is concluded that there is key role of research tools to complete the
research project properly. The use of quantitative research is done in this report so that proper

analysis is done. The use visuals are also done so that it data is properly analysed. The use of
books, journals is being done to analyse the data properly. All the stages help in learning and
important to discuss about the experience.
