Individual assessment
Introduction
The current study of the company will generally explain variety of the experience which
has been gather by the researcher by conducting these sort of the study in the market. These
essay will evaluate the difference between two internationalization theory and real life example.
Critical evaluation as well as comparison between two internationalization theories
To conduct the recent project for the Morrison’s we are asked to work in the team of the
four individual. All team members were having different skill and knowledge about carrying out
the outcome of the report. All of us were given different task which need to be carried out by us
in the project and result of all the member are added to give the best outcome for the
organization. I was asked by the team to carry out Uppsala Model and external environment in
the organization for Morrison’s. Conducting report for Morrison’s has helped me in analysing
and evaluating variety of the thing, knowledge and skill. As this report has taken me through the
variety of the knowledge which was not possessed by me in the past. One the biggest knowledge
which was learned by me during conduction of the report was using Uppsala model to identify
the scope for Morrison’s in entering into Indian market and comparing the political environment
of the nation with the outcome of the Uppsala model.
I was asked by the team to carry out the Uppsala model for Morrison’s and compare the
same with the macro environment of the organization, so that on the basis of the same project is
able to find out the viability of external environment of the India for Morrison’s to enter into the
same. Uppsala model is one of the theories describing the internationalization process of firms.
The model states that firms first choose to enter nearby markets with low market commitment.
At the same time PESTLE analysis is the framework which used to show the different factor
which has to be faced by the organization in the external market and how an organization can
defend the variety of different factor which used to impact the performance of the business. This
project has asked me to carry out the both the model in the context of the organization and on the
basis of the outcome of both the model and analysis and compare both the model to find out the
suitability level of Morrison’s in entering the India and launch their product in new market
(Thudt and et.al., 2018).

In the starting stage I was some sort of nervous in carrying out the Uppsala model in the
organization, as in the past I have never used this model and comparing the outcome of the
model with the external environment of India. So I was in some sort of pressure but by taking
help of different senior in the project and understanding the model I was slowly able to feel
better in the project. As I was finding it comfortable to carry out different model in the
organization. Conducting Uppsala model was not that satisfactory for me, as there were many
situations in the organization where I used to demotivate to carry out different operation in the
organization. On the other hand carrying out PEST analysing in the project has given me the
satisfactory feeling. As it was easy to understand to find out as compare to the Uppsala model in
the project. At the time evaluating the it was getting tougher for me as in the past I was not
having any such type of experience of doing the same. This eventually used to create extra
burden on me to carry out different operation in the organization but as the project goes on I was
comfortable of doing the same in the organization, this has eventually helped me in building
good confidence of mine in the project and which has reflected very positively in carry out the
different operation of the business very positively in the organization.
Two real life example
Evaluation: There were many situations in this process which went well and also there are
situation which does not went that well. Looking at the situation which went well is collection of
different data to conduct both the project in the organization. Situation generally means
understanding two real life situation. Zara is the first company which generally used to adopt
upsala. They generally uses the same in the market to understand and read the market condition
in the best way. This was understand by taking help of different senior and tutor to understand
the best source through which different information can be gather in the organization. This has
eventually helped me n building a good sort of sourcing skill of mine in the project as well. As I
was able to understand the same good quality of data tfrom the market used to help Zara in
carrying out different operation of the project in the organization. Another thing which went well
in the project was carrying out the external environment audit for the organization, as it was easy
to understand the different factor and linking all of them with the different operation of the
organization. This has eventually helped me in understanding the external environment of the
Zara so easily. This has positively impacted the performance of the project. At the same time
carrying out Uppsala model was very difficult for the company as well as Zara was not having

that sort of past experience in doing the same in the organization but by taking help of the
Uppsala model in the organization helped the company. (Choe and et.al., 2017).
Looking at my evaluation it As both the model used to give result on different basis in the
organization so fixing up both the model and comparing them is not that easy but by taking
reference of variety of the past project which has been conducted by my colleague I was able to
overcome the different challenges of the same very easily in the market.
Starbuck is the firm which generally uses PEST analysis in the organization Looking at the
overall experience of sourcing information in regards of same it has been identified that. It has
been identified that these will help the company in expanding there business to the next level in
the organization As with the help of pest, starbuck is able to have better resources to carry out
the activity in the market it would have helped me in getting better analysis of the module in the
organization. At the same time having more time using PEST model using the project in the
organization would have helped them carry out the project in more efficient way as it used to
help in understanding whether project is beneficial or not in the market. At the same time
checking the different sources information from the senior was the activity which has hinder the
outcome of the project. At the same time it was seen that it was getting difficult for the company
to get the different information on the timely basis by using the PESTLE analysis in the market.
Also it was seen that communication barrier was the barrier which has impacted the outcome of
the module this has eventually also created the variety of the conflict in the team member in the
at the time of using PESTLE Analysis, as PESTLE requires good sort of human resources in the
organization to carry out different operation.
Learning
From the above, I realized that that I do not find out the secondary source related to Uppsala
model and I face issue with the same. Thus, it is clearly reflected that I posses weak research
skill and that is why, to improve the same, I have to start working on it. For that I start searching
by using small key terms related to any topic so that it will help me to enhance my research
skills. On the other side, I also start reading relevant article which also assist me to meet my
define aim and objectives. In this way, I start improving my research skill and also work on it
that helps me to raise research skills.

Further, I also analyze that I do not posses strong communication skill which is quite
necessary in the team. That is why, to improve the same, I start attending the online training
session which will help me to improve my communication skill. Also, I analyzed that by reading
books will also help me to improve my oral communication skill. On the other side, I also
analyzed that my start giving presentation in my class will also help me to improve the skill and
deliver the best project as well. Therefore, this things must be followed regularly by 15 days so
that it will assist me to improve the skill and also ad new skills. Being a scholar it is quite
essential to manage the time and therefore, I start manage my work as per the priority so that it
will help to manage the work.
Conclusion
Looking at the overall experience of the project, it can be analysed that carrying out the task
in the team has helped me in evaluating me as a learner and team member. At the same there
were many difficulties which were also seen by me that is difficulty in carrying out the outcome
of Uppsala module. At the same time this has given me new experience on the basis of the same
