world and many more. The internet is also called as 'the net' which is defined as a worldwide
system of computer network which helps in taking out information from any other computer
easily. Internet is used worldwide and helps people in transmitting information anywhere by the
use of website (Hawi and Samaha, 2019). Its is very essential for every company to establish an
internet connection so that they can run their business operation smoothly and effectively.

Role of internet in student's life
As per the view of (Blankenberger and Williams, 2020), Internet is defined as a basic
need in today's changing technological world which offers a lot of benefits to people in each
field. Internet provides several benefits in the education field as it helps in searching any type of
information which is needed for attaining more knowledge in that particular field. There are
various types of search engines which are available on the internet and are used by different
people all over the world such as Yahoo, Google search, Bing and MSN. In educational field
internet is used for gathering subject related information and to do research or gain knowledge of
different subjects. In this modern world students mostly prefer Google to search for queries,
doubts or problems which helps in improving their skills and knowledge of students as well as
teachers. Internet plays a very crucial role in the life students as it helps them in searching
information related to exam results, exams or curriculum which results in better growth. Role of
internet in life of student is explained below:
 Cost effective education – Now a days education is a very costly affair and is one of the
barrier in student life (Nayak, 2018). The internet helps in improving the quality of
education which is considered as one of the main pillars in creating a sustainable
development in all over the world. Internet helps in providing education by videos like
you tube and web tutorials which is affordable for every student and is cost effective.
 Effective learning and teaching tool – The internet facility has become a very important
method for effective teaching and learning for increasing knowledge of students.
Teachers can use internet as a teaching tool for providing their study material by way of
notes and videos on website of school for students. This helps in making the process of
learning for students diverse and interesting with the use of power point presentation,
animation and innovative images.
 Keeps students updated - Internet is a major source of gaining information related to
any topic and subject anywhere and anytime (Martin, Stamper and Flowers, 2020). It
helps in keeping students updated about any important event and subject for increasing
knowledge and also helps in entertaining students as well as the whole system of
education.

Role of internet in life of student in gaining experience of higher education
According to (Sural, 2018), Internet plays a very important role in higher education as it
helps the students in gaining experience and knowledge related to subject. College students are
considered as heavy users of internet as compared to general population because it is the part of
their daily life as they have grown with computers. Students use internet for communicating with
classmates and professors to take help, to do research and for assessing materials of library. In
higher education students not only learn in classrooms but also needs to get more knowledge
from internet which helps in achieving new social skills. Internet helps in improving the
education quality which helps in opening knowledge, information, educational resources and
increasing opportunities for gaining learning experience expect the classroom (Bond and
Bedenlier, 2019). Higher education has experimented with advances in technology with new
changes in teaching like providing personal computer and virtual blackboards. Internet allows
students to discuss information related to subjects online and tutorials can be possessed as
electronic discussions. In today's modern world, students can freely read and assess to thousands
of articles, documents, books and important reports online. It helps the students to attend lectures

and learning is accepted worldwide and provides effective knowledge by social apps that
deliver excellent courses by the experienced teachers. Most of the top universities and
colleges are offering various courses online which are affordable for the students to learn
new skills.

In order to enable students to take active participation in gaining knowledge every where and
every time, higher education institutions provide different conveniences such as computer
programs updated, continuous online mentoring and communication and comfortable internet
assess. Thus internet is helpful in providing proper knowledge to students and also helps in
communicating with teachers for understanding subjects in an effective manner by way of social
media or online platforms.

considered as one of the boon which is used by the students in order to gain knowledge on their
