Document Page
4
Internet marketing strategies mean to promote any product, website with the help of internet. These can
be done by using different internet marketing strategy like SEO(search engine optimization), email
marketing, good website design (Lake, 2017).
3.1 SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION
In search engine optimization strategy the aim is to bring the website on top of the list of search engine
results. A good search engine strategy helps to promote the company, product or any website. This
gradually increases the market for the company as their company name comes on top of search engine
results.
4.WEBSITES
The website is a collection of web pages. Every website has a unique URL which is used to distinguish
between websites. URL is an address of the website. Every website is associated with the home page. It
is the first page of every website when any user visits the website. Websites can be distinguished by two
types user-friendly and not user-friendly (Beal, n.d.).
4.1 USER-FRIENDLY WEBSITES
User-friendly website means how good the interface of the website is. A user-friendly website is the type
of website which has an interactive, easy to use interface. User-friendly website also includes all the
information which the user is looking in any website (Kucheriavy, n.d.).
Examples of user-friendly website are:-
www.gmail.com, www.youtube.com
These two are an example of the user-friendly website as the interface of these two is interactive, easy to
use and understand and provide all the relevant information which user is looking for.
4.2NOT USER-FRIENDLY WEBSITES
Not user-friendly websites mean the website which does not have an interactive interface. This type of
website is not suitable for use or to find any information. It does not provide any relevant information.
Examples of not user-friendly website are:-
www.uglytub.com, www.mrbottle.com(Kenwright, n.d.).
These two are not user-friendly websites. Uglytub.com website has used very bad images with low
quality, the font size is very small which make it noninteractive.Mrbottle.com also uses very bad quality
images and the background color is also not contrasting.
