In the present-day scenario, it is observed that the people all over the world have been
majorly addicted to the internet usage for a major part of their day. This has greatly been
affecting the personal relationships that are maintained by the people. The following paper
discusses the various negative impacts that are presented due to the demonstration of the greater
usage of internet by people all over the world.
The modern-day individuals are observed to be using the internet on a huge scale. The
heavy use of the internet has its own advantages and disadvantages. The use of the internet
services has helped in the ease of daily life operations of the concerned person (Choi et al.,
2015). However, alongside the innumerable advantages of the use of the internet, a huge plethora
of various issues are also presented due to the excessive usage of the internet. The excessive use
of the internet has posed several problems in the personal lives and the relationships that are
maintained by the concerned people (Wu et al., 2016). The majority of the people who have been
overtly addicted to the internet usage are generally observed to belong to the youth of the
society. The youth of the present-day society are found to have been dealing with the issues that
are presented in their personal and intimate relationships due to the over usage of the internet.
The excessive use of the internet has further resulted in various issues that are related to
the degradation of the various relationships that are presented by the concerned organization. The
excessive usage of the internet tends to lead to the conditions wherein the concerned people run
out of time to maintain their relationships with either their intimate partners or their family
members (Ding et al., 2017). The people who have been highly addicted to the internet tend to
demonstrate the various issues that are related to the alienation of the person and the imposed

alienation from the real-life scenarios. The extreme addiction to the internet lead to the
conditions wherein the people involved in the activity of internet addiction do not tend to realize
the effects that their addiction has been posing on their family members (Chen et al., 2016). This
in turn leads to the loss of a proper and balanced social or intimate life of the given person.
There are various kinds of internet addiction and some of the types are actually harmful
for the people who have been involved in those kinds of relationships. These might generally
include the addiction towards gambling, cyber-relationships and cyber-porn. The involvement of
the concerned person in these activities might further lead to the development of the issues that
are related to the lack of time devotion toward the relationship partner of the organization. This
leads to the conditions wherein the intimate relations of the person face threats of crumbling
down. The excessive usage of the internet further leads to the conditions wherein the concerned
person loses his ability to maintain proper relationships with the people who have been present
all around him (Wegmann et al., 2017). The high and excessive usage of the emails and text
messages leads to the destruction of the ability of the concerned person to deal with the face to
face communication that he or she might need to hold in the real-life. This in turn leads to the
conditions wherein the person is rendered unable to deal with the various issues that were posed
by the situations that are presented in the real-life scenarios (Tran et al., 2017). The excessive use
of the internet also leads to the conditions wherein the person is found to demonstrate an
extremely desperate nature over the social media while they lose their self-identity and their lives
in the real world.
In lieu of the above discussion, it might be stated that the excessive use of the internet has
led to the creation of the huge issues within the real-life scenarios faced by people. The high
