INTRODUCTION
Internet is considered a global network which focuses on transmission of information
from one individual to another with the help of various internet communication network, tool
and technology. Internet helps in enhancing the research and it also results in easy application of
job through effective internet application. It is very useful in communicating information by
using standardized communication protocols (Griffiths and et.al., 2016). This assessment report
will highlight on negative and positive use of the internet. It also evaluates the threats faced by
the organization while using internet and what are the necessary measures of privacy and
security while using internet services online. This study also outlines two varied unified
communication networks and its application and suitability for the business. Unified
communication is an effective business concept which helps in effectively outlining the
integration of various business communication services.

Internet is considered one of the globally connected communication tool which in turn is

movie, video conferencing, social networking, online financial services, instant messaging,
online shopping, internet forums, file sharing and data transferring.

higher operational goals and efficiency. Various organization focuses on use of internet which
leads to increased professionalism, less paper work, proper record of information, cost saving,
faster delivery of goods and services, greater accessibility to the information and is also helps in
providing opportunity to manage business concern from anywhere across the world. Internet
helps in global access from anytime and anywhere which in turn helps in improving the client
services through greater efficiency and flexibility (Carr, 2015). The positive impact of internet is

turn results in malicious event carried out by the hackers. Price driven competition is one of the
major issue associated with the business due to use of internet.

etc. There are various threats faced by the organization and society with the use of internet which

of information. Security and internet goes hand in hand. The company should focus on installing
various anti malware and antivirus software in order to enhance the security and privacy of the
business. The company should focus on deactivating autofill system in order to work in an

helps in protecting data and maintaining privacy at the time of using internet. Pharming is a
major threat which in turn affects the confidentiality of the business. This can redirect the URL
to illegitimate website. Entering of personal information on such website leads to malicious
activity. Spam is one of the major threat to the business as this in turn helps in collecting and
sending out information from non- suspicious people. Virus act as a major threat to the business
which helps hackers to get access to the contact list and computer information. It also leads to
hijack of web browser. It also leads to display of unwanted ads and in turn also results in
disabling security setting which in turn leads to breach and loss of personal information of an
individual. Wi-Fi eavesdropping is yet another threat to the business (Common threats to be
aware of 2017). The company should focus on securing the Wi-Fi with a strong password which
in turn does not lead to access to the private information.
Internet privacy and security is very essential for the protection of personal data with the
use of internet. Security is very useful in safeguarding the personal data of the individual. The
company should focus on protecting individuals to get access to unauthorized data.
Business and society must focus on protecting various sensitive information by complying with
various data protection tools and technologies. The company should and society should focus on
strengthening the social privacy setting in order to improve the performance of the business.
Secured passwords helps in protecting all the information by effectively encrypting the data. The
company should focus on deleting sensitive information in order to prevent them from getting
hacked. The company should intimidate with scareware by providing security with computers

Avaya design their package as per the requirement of the customer organizations but instead of
doing this Microsoft services are standard and common for all. Customers used their services are
per their needs and in return they pay for using services of Microsoft (Seo and Thorson, 2016). The
services that are provided by the Avaya are robust and not so flexible for user but the
communication services that are provided by Microsoft are flexible and user friendly. Users of
services are able to modify the applications as per their neds.
This is how the services provided by the Microsoft are good for consumer but no
administration is provided in the process. In the Avaya employees of company provide services
to client with high rate of administration.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been summarized that, Internet is considered one of the
globally connected communication tool which is very useful in communicating information by
using standardized communication protocols. This study effectively outlines various positive and
negative application of internet within society and organizational context. It has been evaluated
that, use of internet which leads to increased professionalism, less paper work, faster delivery of
goods and services, proper record of information, cost saving, greater accessibility to the
information and is also helps in providing opportunity to manage business concern from

anywhere across the world. On the contrary, internet also leads to stealing and hacking of
banking and personal information online is one of the major negative affect of the internet on
society. It has been concluded that, internet faces various threats such as botnets, pharming, Wi-
Fi eavesdropping, spam, virus, phishing, hacking, malware, spam, ransomware, etc. this study
further summarizes Avaya and Microsoft unified communication networks and its application
and suitability for the business.
