In the current revolutionary situation present businesses are always looking for
optimizing their business procedures. Current businesses have been found that integrating the
internet to the business is of the most appropriate solution for creation of the internal efficiencies
and streamline communication among the suppliers and customers (Mathews et al. 2016). In the
current context how this internal efficiency and streamlined communication can be achieved will
be discussed.
Internet for Creating Internal Efficiencies:
There are several of ways by which internal efficiency for the business can be gained
through utilization of the internet. The main internal efficiencies which are gained through
implementation of the internet are the:
Management of Inventory: The inventory management is one of the prior advantage to
the business that is provided by implementation of internet in the business (Shaltoni et al.
2017). This inventory management system is one of the main aspects of the supply chain
management. In the current generation implementation of EDI information program has
become very much easy due to the internet while in the previous cases it was very
lengthy process to implement EDI in the supply chain management for the businesses.
Purchasing: The internet has also helped the organizations to reduce the cost related
with the purchasing. In the supply chains of the products purchasing of the organization
has been improved as the overall flow of the production has been reduced. By the
elimination of the paper works order cycle time can be improved. Many of the other
aspects of purchasing can also be improved by using the internet services.

Transportation: Improved transportation is very much important for internal efficiencies
of business. In this aspect the transportation management is one of the most popular
utilization of internet services. This is very much important for the business processes for
tracking of the shipments of the products. Through this proper management of the
inventory can be managed.
Vendor Service: The vendor related service is very much important for all the businesses
categories so that satisfaction of the vendors can be achieved. Also, through this system
any type of queries of the vendors can be resolved and due to these factors businesses
will become more efficient internally. Satisfaction of the vendors is very much important
for managing proper supply chain management.
Internet for Streamline Communication between Customer and Supplier:
The internet service is capable of providing a better communication among the customer
and supplier which is important for the business processes. In the following section how the
internet provides streamline communication between the customer and supplier will be
described.
Instant Messaging Application: The instant messaging applications are one of the best
ways of communication between the supplier and customer. To operate this type of
instant messaging applications it is very much important to have a proper internet
connection (Oghuma et al. 2016). Thus in this aspect the internet helps to establish a
streamline communication between the supplier and customer through instant messaging
applications.
Chatbot: Chatbots are very much important to provide 24/7 assistance to the customers
and this also establishes streamline communication between the customers and the

suppliers. Mainly these chatbots are works in the online environment and the user needs
proper internet connection for accessing the chatbots (Yan et al. 2016). Thus internet
connection is very much important in this context for streamline communication between
supplier and customer.
Customer Data: The data of the customers can also be tracked through proper internet
connection and their buying habits can also be determined which will establish proper
communication between supplier and customer.
Email: Email is one of the formal ways of communication between the customer and
supplier and email requires an active internet connection for running. Thus internet
connection is important for communication between the supplier and customer.
VoIP: Through VoIP or the Voice over Internet Protocol setting, internet calling can be
done and also overseas calling can be also done which is very much important for
ensuring a proper communication between the customer and supplier (Kaul and Jain
2017). For this VoIP connection a proper internet connection is required.
