INTRODUCTION
In present business world, internet plays a crucial role which may lead organisations in
reaching to an all new level where they may develop fast connections with their customers or
with employees and so on. It also aid in marketing products and services of a company with
cheap investments. As given by Cave, (2016), traditional marketing needs to be used by SMEs so
that to save themselves by a number of fraudulent activities. But according to famous journalist,
Leonard (2018), have given a contradictory statement and mentioned that the above author is
wrong at some point and stated that business leaders needs to balance themselves (profit
margins) while looking at new development among internet technologies so that they may gain
competitive advantages. Therefore, internet has become one of effective approach which can
help a company in promoting what it is selling to targeted customers in a huge amount(Hunt,
2013).
It has also been analysed that there are a number of issues which can be faced by the
company while using the internet and these are use of internet which could be considered as
undefendable from ethical hackers and viruses. Away with this, challenges focusing on privacy,
fair use and unethical & unauthorized access to information published on websites. Another
problem that was faced by the company linked with internet is fraud related to credit card &
other online payments. It is vital from them to resolve all the problems so that they may secure
themselves and consumers as well at the same time. Away with this, all the issues can be
resolved with changing passwords of accounts on different social media tools, using all the laws
like Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 2000 and so on which could aid in developing
effective relations with customers and marketing of products and services(Eid, 2016).

Internet is being defined as a global computer network which delivers a mixture of data
linked with communicational facilities, consisting of interconnected networks using standardized
communication protocols. Impact of internet have been crucial on business companies and have
helped them in marketing their products and services at a wider context from existing market. As
of June, 30th 2018, it has been analysed that approximately 7,634,758,428 people uses internet on
daily basis with different reasons where some of them utilises for developing connections with
people that are sitting away from them and others uses for different business and other kind of

purposes. All over Europe is holding around 16.8% of share of this total users of Internet
(Internet World Stats, 2018). Business organisations have kept their focus on improving their
profit margins and considered internet as one of effective approach or source which may lead
them to promote products and services to much larger area than their expectations(Barnes, 2014).

With the help of above mentioned pie chart, it has been easily interpreted that around
50% of internet users are present in Asia and other continents like Europe, Africa and Latin
America are having a share of around 16.8%, 11.0% and 10.4%. This information have helped
business organisations in gaining ample number of benefits like raising their profit margins,
improving their performance level and developing effective relationships with customers. On the
other hand, a business leader that is not aware of ways through which new internet technologies
can be used to keep a company competitive may see the business fall behind its competition. The
effects of the internet on modern businesses and corporations manifest themselves in several
areas. According to Cave, (2016), who is a journalist have mentioned that internet would not
help companies in developing relations with consumers or promoting their products. She have
stated this because internet can be much more approachable but it cannot help a company in
developing loyal consumers for a longer period of time because data kept on internet can be
misused by ethical hackers for the purpose of harassing an individual or for creating a problem
for the business company. On the same article, a contradictory statement which was given by the
scholar Leonard, 2018 where he stated that the information which was provided by the author is

mode of communication are enclosed with desktop computers, laptops, mobile and tablets. These
electronic devices could be used by firms in order to bring effective communication with
consumers, providers and staff members or investors and so on. If it is compared with traditional
approaches, post mails are changed by electronic mails which are much faster and effective at the
same time. Apart from this, internet have been changed meetings into audio and visual
conferences. These modes of communication are used in different ways by various purposes
according to the objectives of companies. Away with this, it has also been found that using
internet with a purpose of digital marketing, an organisation can target not just a wider area
within a country but it can connect with international ones as well. Here, interaction with the

opportunity that internet gives. Here, cloud-based software systems have made data storage a
game changer for many companies. Firms do not requires physical storages for the documents.
On the other hand, it also gives an opportunity related to developing effective strategies through
looking at the collected data. Apart from this, cloud storage can effectively used by companies
which mainly reduces the costs of both office along with the storage houses of the company. It

various benefits and limitations of the internet for organisations and a company can use it in
different ways as well. On the other hand, different aspects which requires to be considered by an
organisation and it is needed to keep its focus on impact of developed strategies that are
maintained or developed for new customers in existing market. Above given data have clearly
showed that different issues, modes of communication, security issues role of technology and
other important factors that have a role to play in modern business organisations which needs to
be properly understood right on time.
