INTRODUCTION
This paper has been made to discuss
Internet of things or IoT consists of many
elements that are present in networks and they
require wireless connections in order to work.
These are physical objects that are connected
to the internet and have their own identity.
Some examples are smartphones, desktops or
technological devices. There are different
protocols that have to be used by IoT so that
there is flexibility and consistency. It is not an
easy task to explain this concept as it has
various components that have different
versions. IoT is considered to be the physical
world of information system. Organisations in
different industries operate through IoT as it
increases their efficiency and value of
business. It allows to build relationships with
customers and aid in making effective
decisions [1]. IoT was introduced by Kevin
Ashton and he has made it evolved throughout
the years. The combination of all connected
devices gives opportunities regarding
communication across various networking
areas. It saves time and money while creating
effective methods through which products and
services can be delivered.
There is no interaction with or between
humans when IoT is enabled. The benefits
include monitoring of processes that occur
during business operations, improving
customer experience, saving time and money,
enhancement of productivity in employees and
generation of more revenues or profits. It
promotes organisations to change their
perspectives on how they approach markets as
well as provide tools through which they can
implement strategies [4]. However, there are
some privacy and security issues in IoT, such
multiple data of individuals, risk of cyber and
virus attacks. There can be manipulation of
data as well, if businesses do not regularly
update their devices that are connected to the
internet.
CONCLUSION
IoT is the future of businesses as there
are many benefits that can be availed to by
organisations. It will allow cities to use such
devices, so that there is efficiency in work
done, conservation of energy and other
environmental issues. It has many elements,
that once combined, can be used to collect
data, conduct an analysis on it and determine a
course of action. It also helps in making
effective chain of supply for manufacturers of
different organisations.

The main objective of this paper is to
give an insight of IoT and its operations with
connected devices. There are many links that
have been created in which frequencies are
transferred and this requires energy
consumption. There is a specific purpose for
each device and the data retrieved from then
are useful for certain organisations. They can
impact the economy at a large scale. IoT
emphasises on networks, devices and data
retrieved from it [2]. There are private internet
connections that can be used by such devices
as it creates relationships and makes the world
feel connected. It is an ecosystem that consists
of smart devices that are web enabled and have
embedded processors, sensors and hardware
that allows communicating data from various
environments [3].
