inconsistency in data entry, problem in data maintenance as well as accessibility which are mainly faced due to the
utilization of manual health record system. In spite of the advantages, it is identified that the adoption of IoT
creates number of security challenges within the healthcare industry (Yuehong et al., 2016) The security challenges
generally include data breach, hacking of personal information of patients, misuse of data, improper
communication, vulnerability related incidents and more. In order to resolve this type of security challenges, it is
very much necessary for the healthcare industry to take adopt some important strategies before the utilization of
IoT concept. The necessary steps that is required to taken in order to resolve the issue include proper
authentication, securing constrained devices, securing communication, managing device updates, ensuring data
privacy, ensuring cloud application as well as high availability.
