INTRODUCTION
Leadership strategy is map which aligns investment within leadership development with
strategy, goals, aspirations of business (Kharub, Mor and Sharma, 2019). Along with this, inter-
organizational network consist three or more than that organization which coordinate some of
their joint advantages. In simple words it can be said that, inter-organizational network are
simply aggregate related to formal as well as informal relation within their members. Although,
appropriate leadership strategy provide assistance in inter-organizational network (Shipilov and
Gawer, 2020). For better understanding of entire concept Lidl Company has been selected which
is German international discount supermarket chain operating more than 10,000 stores across
Europe and United States. It was founded in 1930 and founder was Josef Schwarz. This report
will be going to conduction literature review on leadership strategies and inter-organizational
network which will provide assistance in developing relation related understanding related to
both term.

Leadership strategies and inter-organizational network
Organisation is totally depended on capabilities of leadership for guiding them by
unprecedented modifications. In addition to this, there are ample evidence which even some of
established organisation are for adapting changes, implementation of strategic plans in successful
manner as well as preparing for uncertain future changes (McGahan, 2019). In relation of Lidl
company, it is important to maintain direct relation within leadership strategies as well as inter-
organizational network because they provide assistance in accomplishing desired goals and
objectives in better manner.
According to the article Center for creative leadership, 2020 it has been determined that
leadership strategy is map which aligns investment within leadership development in strategy,
goals as well as aspiration of the business. In addition to this, it is important for Lidl to
implement leadership strategy because it will provide assistance in conducting daily operations
within effective manner and results in accomplishing desired goals as well as objectives. Leader
give guidance to individual and also identify other issues which Lidl Company have to consider
in their working such as present talents systems which supporting culture and leadership that
company wants to create (Leadership strategy, 2020). In simple terms it can be said that, strong

leadership strategy assist in effective implementation of organization business strategy. Whereas,
without appropriate leadership organizational strategies will remain plans instead of being
implemented in successful manner (Iansiti and Lakhani, 2020). Along with this, it is essential for
Lidl Company to align their leadership strategy to vision, values as well as business strategy for
overcoming with challenges in better manner and maximisation of thrive. Furthermore, there are
several important characteristics which have to be in leaders for accomplishing goals and
objective on time. These are learn how to lead, be goal-oriented, take responsibility, share the
glory, understanding about team development, good communication, be courageous and
assertive, confident and many more in relation of same.
In addition to this, there are numerous leadership strategies which leader have to
implement in their working according to the situation. So, that situation will manage in better
manner as well as goals and objectives will accomplish within required durations (Masri, 2020).
Moreover, there are several type of leadership strategies such as autocratic style, authoritative
style, pacesetting style, democratic style, coaching style, affiliation style as well as laissez-faire
style. These styles will only implement after analysing situation in effective manner.
As per the view point of Jorg Raab, 2018 it has been determined that Inter-organizational
network is strategic mechanism which is important for improving competitive advantages of Lidl
company by using cost minimization while maintaining flexibility. In addition to this, changes
within orientation from competition to cooperation within inter-organizational relation is
rationalized as per the transaction cost perspective (Donati, Zappalà and González-Romá, 2020).
Along with this, inter-organizational network consist three or more than that organization which
coordinate some of their joint advantages. In simple words it can be said that, inter-

effective for overall growth and development of business along with this enhancing business
operations. For example, motivation leadership strategies as this is helpful for encouraging and
boosting moral of employees in order to successfully carry out task in better manner. Leaders of
Lidl company is able to successfully increase potential and capabilities of employees to integrate
work with other department of business. Through this inter organisational network will be
enhanced along with this overall performance of business will increased with high
interconnection between different departments.

After going through overall discussion it has been summarised that, leadership strategies
and inter-organizational network both are interrelated with each others. Because implementation
of appropriate strategy will results in building both formal and informal relations among
employees working in organisation. It is important to have good relation within staff members
because this will provide assistance in accomplishing desired goals as well as objectives of
company. By implementation of appropriate leadership strategy company will able to develop
good relationship within employees which are working. This will result in improving
productivity as well as accomplishing desired goals and objectives within required duration.
