INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Interpersonal skills refers to the attributes which is carried by the employees during
interacting or communicating with other employees and team and also share their views and
thoughts to present the ideas in better way (Anleu and et.al., 2020). It is necessary for the
employees to carry the interpersonal skill in business, so that they can build the strong
relationship with them. From this perspective, I feel that it is necessary to carry the interpersonal
skills in business so that positive attitude is to be maintained regarding pertaining to particular
task.
Gibbs Model is published by Graham Gibbs which carry the perspective regarding
enhancing the learning by doing certain things which resulting in providing better results (Gibbs
Reflective Cycle by Graham Gibbs, 2020). It can be described through carrying this model in
which five steps are determined as:
Step 1: Description: The topic which is chosen for discussion is interpersonal skills. I feel that
during attaining the role of working in business, various skills are to be undertaken regarding
communicating with individual and group (Coady, Byrne and Casey, 2018). So that adequate
views and thoughts are shared and also various information are to be gathered which is helpful
for future perspective. I find that by carrying interpersonal skills, it results in bringing positive
attitude towards the work and also enhances the listening power regarding learning new things.
Step 2: Feeling: The feeling which I carried during undertaking the discussion, I felt that I not
carry the good presentation skill and also not presentable in presenting my views and thought
with everyone. From this perspective, the other people felt that I carry lack of undertaking in
grabbing the particular things which results in not approaching to new people with full
confidence (Vandergoot, 2019). After analysing the incapability which I carry regarding
attaining the interpersonal skills, I decided to develop self-confidence among me, in respect of
dealing with task individually and also communicating with various person to track the strategies
to accomplish such work.
Step 3: Evaluation: The positive things which I evaluated during attaining the task is relating to
handling the emotions and carrying patiences regarding getting the positive signs. The negative
aspects which I realized regarding attaining the work is relating to not managing the entire work
in right manner. As every person had different perspective of thinking and presenting their
views, thus, it is difficult in the business to manage the ideas of the employees in similar way

(Burckhardt and et.al., 2018). Thus, in such manner to improve the interpersonal skills by
analysing the both positive and negative aspects, I realize that by carrying the effective body
language skills, resulting in getting more ideas to enhances the interest of other people in
business.
Step 4: Conclusion: In this step, the things which is concluded once they are evaluated by
undertaking the positive and negative aspects as by carrying the body language and gesture. As
in respect of large number of employees working in organization or having different culture, then
the presentation done though body language is effective (Karimi and et.al., 2019). I personally
examined that it is clearly undertaken by every person and also the chances of presenting the
thought is also given. In relation to facing issues regarding conflict at work place, I examined
that through carrying the good management skills regarding negotiation or compromise or open
door facility, it results in avoiding this issues in better way.
Step 5: Actions: After analysing the situation in which the negligences are undertaken or not
carrying the effective skills to be work on, then in such manner the action to be undertaken to
overcome from the challenges (Osher and et.al., 2016). I applied the strategies regarding
managing the interest of the employees at work place for longer time period. I realized that by
carrying the positivity at work place even if the crucial situation arise regarding not getting
proper ideas, it helps in resolving the issues of the business in right manner.
Thus, from above discussion, it is stated that the interpersonal skills is important in
business in relation to the attaining at the post of leaders or managers. I personally feel that it
carry major responsibility regarding motivating the individual to work as team or giving
flexibility to carry the own charge regarding facing any risk. By attaining at this post, I feel that
patience is the major criteria regarding resolving any issues or also handling the matter in right
way. I feel that by carrying the interpersonal skill in business, it results in enhancing more
growth opportunities and also get good rewards in exchange for the work accomplished.
GROUP COMMUNICATION
In respect of understanding with the matters related to group communication, the matters
which are carried regarding using the clear languages and also must be presentable. So, that they
can present their thoughts and views to the audiences and also use specific languages which can
be easily understandable (Hatten-Roberts and Lodge, 2018). From this perspective, I learned
various things from these aspects that how to interact with the audiences and how to resolve their

issues which they are facing regarding understanding the particular topic. I also examined from
the other person during the time of communicating, that communication must be clear and also
the information must be presentable. So, that it is clearly readable and understandable. This can
be explained through carrying the Gibbs model which reflects the five steps as:
Step 1: Description: This is mainly undertaken regarding discussing the matter related to group
communication. As I realized that people mainly stick to the single things regarding using clear
languages but in respect of communicating the information in group, it carries various factors
which is to be carried regarding presenting all the members to whom group communication is
undertaken (White and et.al., 2018). I find that the other people who are presenting the data
carries so many content on their communication. This indicates that it all mixed up and also no
interaction with the audiences is undertaken. This resulting in distracting the interest of the
audiences towards the communication for longer way.
Step 2: Feeling: Before examining this situation, I feel that I am not ready with this situation
regarding facing crises at presenting the thoughts in group. As I find that I lack in building the
confidences which resulting in not using the clear languages and also not retaining the interest of
the audiences for longer way (Kazemi and Moradi, 2019). But in recent times, I find myself
confident in presenting or dealing with all the members in group as this happens after taking
proper reviews or carrying rehearsal of presenting the views in clear format.
Step 3: Evaluation: In this step, the evaluation is to be conducted regarding examining which
approaches work in good manner and which not provide the better results. The positive sign
which I find in group communication is that it enhances in building the team activity through
discussing the ideas or also sharing the information to get better results. I realized that the
negative point which took place in group communication is to present the thoughts and ideas in
innovative and creative ideas to retain the interest of group members (Read, Rogers and Wilson,
2016). I also examined that presence of group member is the biggest task which I faced
regarding gathering the interest of members to present during the time of discussion. This results
in facing lot of confusion regarding carrying the group communication.
Step 4: Conclusion: From the above study, I evaluated that by using the effective communication
tool through coordinating with all the group members, it results in avoiding the issues regarding
facing unwanted question which is not relevant to the discussion. Thus, from examining the
positive and negative aspects, the things which I feel to make changes is relating to planning for

the emergence in respect of issues arises regarding not carrying the answers for the question
raised or disruption in communications (White and et.al., 2017). Through the emergencies
planning, I feel more relaxed regarding presenting the group communication with more
confidence.
Step 5: Actions: In these steps, action are undertaken regarding facing issues in adapting any of
the strategies which not work during the particular time period. In this manner I examined that
by conducting social activities or presenting the topic through using the innovative ideas
enhancing the interest of the audiences for larger way (Hosseinzadeh and Mnif, 2016). I also
verified that the areas which I had to work on is relating to using the clear languages and this can
be developed through building confidence in presenting the thoughts and views in better way.
Through the group communication, it helps in gaining major advantages regarding
bringing confidences in presenting the thoughts in groups. I also find that adequate practice is to
be undertaken before presenting the views in group through these aspects, the more confidences
is to be built. It also results in taking feedback from the remaining members regarding making
improvement in the communication. Thus, from above discussion, this topic affects the role of
business regarding building the planning strategies as it is mainly necessary to carry the
emergency plan in case of any issue arises. By adapting this technique, it helps in building the
skills regarding innovative planning and dealing with the crises by undertaking the emergency
plans.
