This journal entry aims to discuss the importance of one’s own understanding about the
values and discipline and behaviour one need to manage at the time of professional
communication of any interpersonal relationship with the staff members and other colleagues.
Interpersonal relationship includes the effective communication with effective understanding
among the staff members, top management and with the customers as well. This journal entry
will discuss the findings from related articles and issues found as the challenges in the
effective management of interpersonal relationships (Bresnahan, 2007).
Discussion
According to Hynes, a successful company manager, a leader, a registered nurse understands
the importance of effective communication and understanding among the team members to
perform the task in the effective manners. An effective working environment in an
organisation require the managers and leaders to use their personal attributes and qualities to
communicate with the staff and clients in manner that it deal to solve the issue in effective
manner (Hynes, 2012). Any person using their personal skills and talents to identify the
issues and solving these to manage the professional communications is essential to meet the
basic qualities for interpersonal relationships. According to DeKay, interpersonal
communication is related to the behavioural development of a person that allows a person to
explore the terrain interpersonal communication framing the structure of the interpersonal
relations. Leaders participating in the interpersonal relationship require the self-discipline and
effective command over the communication because interpersonal relationship requires the
better understanding with the others. It is requite it manage the self-discipline because at the
time of communication with many members over any issue, many suggestion are presented
and better communicator need to understand skills to select the best suggestion and deliver

the nest decision to the entire team by making other agreed in the same manners (DeKay,
2012).
Many challenges are potential to occur in the management of the inter personal
communication and relationship because a person spending maximum time in the
professional hours not able to manage the challenges alone, these people need effective team
support but lack of self-discipline and effective communication issues can increased instead
of getting solved. Involving the individual in the organisational communication many be a
lengthy and hectic causing the issues to the manager by raising the issues of interpersonal
conflicts. Including interpersonal relationship concept in the organisational communication is
essential as it manages collect more ideas from the staffs and selects the best appropriate
option (Bizarrias, da Silv, & Ferreira, 2018). Involving single person from the staff in the
management decision and operational activities facilitates in the development of the
organisational culture. Individual felt connected and joint to the organisation as an essential
part of the communication for the important decisions and it helps the managers to frame
effective organisational environment.
Conclusion
Personal understanding with the other employees and effective control over the relationship
maintenance with the other staff members is very important for building the interpersonal
relationship and effective communication chain in an organisation. Development of personal
skills of communication allows leaders to lead the team with effective control because leaders
involving entire team have many ways to solve issue and select best suggested decision for
the development of the organisation.
