INTRODUCTION
Teaching plays a critical role in learning. There are various students that are being
indulged in unproductive behaviour and teacher must use their philosophy to manage the
students (Richardson and Mishra, 2018). This essay is based on the intervention on unproductive
behaviour. In the starting of this report there is discussion related to the philosophy being used.
Afterwards, the approaches that are learnt at the time of professional experience. In the end, there
is a plan that shows hoe the interventions are being used and aligned with philosophy.
MAIN BODY
An introspective reflection on your own teaching philosophy and how this guides approaches to
intervention.
Unproductive students behaviour shows that the students are avoiding the classwork and
are not engaged in classroom activity. It causes problems for teachers as working environment of
class gets disturbed (Hadwin, Järvelä and Miller, 2018). I understood that taking care of all the
students and engaging them is important. I worked to align all the students in the class so that
they are able to understand the concepts and achieve career goals. There is need to use right
philosophy so that the students are able to be disciplined in class and try to understand the
concept. Philosophy guides the teacher to deal with the complexities in the classroom. It helps
address all the issues that are being faced by the students. The students can be given such
authority that they are able to work according to themselves. They are unable to manage their
behaviour and this causes misbehaviour in classroom. I analyse the students that are good and let
them sit with the students who misbehave in the classroom. It will help them to get inspired with
the students so that they are also able to learn effectively in the classroom. I also conduct
meeting with them privately. In private meeting they share all the problems that are being faced
by them (Adedoyin, and Soykan, 2020). Along with that, I will be able to share good and
effective strategies with them that will to learn in class. I will help them to differentiate between
right or wrong. This will assist in taking right actions so that they are able to behave properly in
class.
I also reward the students if they are attentive in class and read properly. It is necessary
for the students as they get rewarded with the good work that is being done by them. It gives
motivation to the students so that they continue to work good. Along with that by punishing them

for the unproductive behaviour in the classroom. There is need of negative motivation as well
because some students require getting punished so that they are able to work effectively. My
philosophy is to learn the behaviour of the student so that I am able to analyse the nature and
then take suitable actions. I give regular work to the students for home. It is necessary for them
to be attentive for the students. The right philosophy assist the students to learn properly become
productive.
A critical reflection on intervention approaches that you have seen on Professional Experience
At the time of my placement I have learn various intervention approaches that help me.
All these approaches are necessary and support me to indulge the students. I have analysed that
my mentor teacher is more knowledgable and has excellent content
and pedagogical knowledge. The mentor works on understanding the individual students and
know their learning preference so that they are able to learn effectively. They take person review
of the students. It is a standard approach because the students are also able to know about the
way they act. No, the students do not know the impact of their behaviour. They do not know that
their unproductive behaviour in classroom cause issue for them (Huda and et.al., 2018). They
will face problem in achieving their career growth. There are problems that are being faced by
the students in future if they will not become productive in the class. All the students are
different from another and that is the reason there is no same impact on the students. This is
because all of them are from different background and culture. So they may not get similar
impact from the same approach. It is analysed that the misdemeanors behaviour of the students
must be made public. It must be disclosed in front of whole class so that they feel shame and are
able to take suitable actions and do not repeat it again. The consequences chart must be posted on
the notice board so that the other students also get impact of the same. It is analysed that the
student will take care that they do not repeat the same so that their name is not made public with
misdemeanors behaviour.
A plan articulating the approaches to intervention that you will use, aligned with your philosophy
and substantiated by literature.
There are various approaches to interventions that are used by teachers. It is necessary to
note that in order to make students understand the importance of teaching they must be given
proper guidance. There are certain actions that are taken different teachers so that they are able to
control the misbehaviour of the students (Panigrahi, Srivastava and Sharma, 2018). The students

must be provided the right culture so that they are able to behave properly. The unproductive
behaviour of the students is due to the misdemeanors done by them. It is necessary to respond to
students misbehaviour so that they are able to achieve success. The teacher plays a critical role in
helping the students to behave properly. The students do not follow the instructions properly and
that is issue for the teacher. Managing all the students in class in necessary aspect on which I
focus the most. There is need to analyse the need of students and their complaints properly.
To bring positive change in the student I follow discipline intervention. It assist me to set
the goals for the students. In the starting of the session I ask them to set the short term goals and
in the end, they have to tell that they have achieved them or not. It keeps them engaged in the
classroom. All this help them be disciplined in the class and work to given productive outcomes.
The need to create disciplined class so that they are able to achieve long term goals (Will and
et.al., 2018). There is need of teaching discipline to the students so that they are able to work
effectively in the classroom. Teaching them the norms of behaving in class is a necessary task
for me as a teacher. The success of the students depends on the way they behave in class. The
misbehaviour done by them is problematic for them in future. Being a teacher I have to make
them understand the importance of disciplined life. It enhances the ease for the students so that
they are able to work effectively in the class and in future as well. I plan activities that assist
students to understand their responsibilities and become aware of what is right and differentiate it
from wrong. The students must be given the lessons of discipline in the starting when they are
small so that it becomes their habit. It is required to teach the students that they must maintain
discipline in class so that others are also able to learn effectively. As discussed above there is
need to conduct personal meetings that help to enhance the engagement of the students. Knowing
about the students and the work done by them, makes me confident as I am able to deal with
them properly. There is need to build relation with the students so that they become regular in
class (Turner and et.al., 2018). The intervention of giving reward to the students motivates them
to be disciplined and follow all the norms of sitting in classroom. I am a democratic teacher that
give opportunity to all the students. This also help me to engage them in the class and to achieve
goals and objectives successfully. It is also examined that there is need of proper communication
with the students as they are able to share all the problems via effective communication. The
students that continue doing misdemeanours must be punished. So that they are able to know the
end result. I believe that students must be disciplined so that the environment is class is managed

are indulged in such activities, they must be punished. I follow discipline intervention in order to
reduce the misbehaviour of the students in the classroom.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it is analyse that there is need of proper guidance to the students.
It makes them ready to face any situation and work in effective manner. The students some times
misbehave in the class. So, in this report there is discussion related to philosophies that can be
used by teacher in that situation. Reflection in relation to professional experience is part of this
