This report presents a systematic review examining interventions aimed at reducing maternal stress in mothers with preterm infants admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The review encompasses an analysis of various databases including CINAHL, MEDLINE, and PsychINFO, resulting in the inclusion of ten articles. The findings highlight three key themes: the impact of group therapy and counseling, the effectiveness of kangaroo care, and the influence of audio and video recording sessions. The conclusion emphasizes the efficacy of kangaroo care, family nurture interventions, and educational audio-visual aids in mitigating maternal stress. The report also provides a detailed methodology, including eligibility criteria, search strategies, study selection processes, and data analysis methods. The study acknowledges limitations and discusses implications for healthcare professionals and policymakers, emphasizing the importance of addressing maternal mental health in the context of NICU admissions.
