Introduction
Online learning is combination of classwork and internet for
the purpose of education where the facilitator and the student
are at a distance.
The internet is upheld as the channel of teaching. Curriculum
and standards in almost all state has come-up with standards
that controls what students should know and do.
Research has proved that vast availability of the education is a
great resource that will help students to attain greater standards
using this mode of education. Research has found that through
this way education promotes technology as a tool for
collaboration and learning.

My Areas of Expertise
Time management is key when it comes to learning where
some of the students may fail to schedule they time properly.
Online learning is convenient for students because they need
not to travel to classrooms or lecture halls and they can
develop their on timetable to study.
In my case I uphold time management as one of the driving
factor in my undertaking to gain academic prowess through the
online learning. This will help me to be consistent with my
coursework and avoid trouble while interacting with the
instructor.
Time management is an essential skill when it comes to project
management. In project management, they say that most
projects fail due to poor time management which leads to
increase in time taken hence increase in cost.

Through online learning , the students are highly appealed to
make proper use of the time they are highly alert and I will use
my morning hours which work best for me
For instance, do you concentrate better in early classes, as
opposed to late classes or vice versa? Sometime you find you are
having an online class of 75munites and your schedule is
30minutes you need to adjust your time for a particular module.
Before starting any class you need to log out to all programs
such as emails internet browsers, games or word processors
(Anderson, 2008). These are some of the things you need to
explore when it comes to study time in order to manage your
time.

My current knowledge of the online environment
Acquiring education online can be effective to student that are
disciplined, committed and motivated. According to
Richardson & Swan, (2003) about 60%of the employers accept
the high quality of online learning, but students perception
differ and only 33% of the online students say that they
perceive the quality of education to be better than face-to-face
education.
Critically is better to consider pros and cons of the online
learning so that one can be prepared to face the challenges of
working in the platforms and embraces the strengths and
weaknesses.
Online education is convenience in relation to course duration,
study location and time, it costs less than regular classroom
because there is no travelling to classrooms and class attendant
can proceed with his/her work while taking classes.

internet and it offers fresh opportunity to learn and exploit new technologies.

Unit Goals
One of the key skills that I would like to learn is to think
critically as this skill will help me think outside the world of
academia
In life one has to make multiple choices and each choice has its
own consequences. Making the wrong decision may lead to great
loses or regret hence the need for one to be able to think
critically.
This skill can be taught or even learnt. Instructors are encouraged
to involve children in games where they are put in a position
where they are required to think in depth before making a
decision, an examples of such a game is chess. In chess every
move leads to a different action, for one to win this game a lot of
thinking and planning has to be done.
The most important part of the classroom is discussion time
where the instructor and the students tackles the same question
and gives out possible ideas or solutions.

By doing that you can give students questions to address on the

Course goals
Effectively teaching young children is the key skill that I will
exploit to become a professional online instructor.
Online education is not limited to any one, even young
children are legible to learn. But they should be helped to learn
effectively, and they can use these skills in their life situation.
Children get bored if they don’t understand something straight
away, however, they need to understand that they should keep
on practicing when learning new things.
Children fear to fail and its good we teach them that failure is
not the end of the world.
Most of the children compare themselves with the one who
have done well and develop some self-esteem, they should be
taught that they should not compare among themselves but
rather they should compare against their own progress
(Neuhauser, 2002).

Course Goals
Effective online learners are the one who gets out of their comfort
zone and push themselves to learn.
So encourage the young children by for instance, suggesting they
complete their online work before deadline and praise them even
if they did not get it right.
