The United States Supreme Court has virtually unlimited jurisdiction which is the highest
court in USA. The jurisdiction is in relation to both geographical jurisdiction which means
the area which is governed by the court and subject matter jurisdiction such as serious and
minor issues. The US Supreme Court has geographical jurisdiction of both state and federal
matters. The court can also try serious and minor issues both and thus have unlimited subject
matter jurisdiction (Landis, 2017).
