Introduction
Management is the process of arranging human resources effectively and efficiently in
such a away which will help the organisation to gain maximum profit. There are various ways by
which a organisation can manage their tasks and people appropriately. Making various kinds of
departments and sub sections related to their specialization of employees will help the company
to manage their task effectively (Cross Walker, 2020). There are various departments like
marketing department, finance department, HR department and many others which help the
organisation to divide their tasks according to their requirements. The following report covers
management structure and business functions, marketing function and relation to business
success, management function and how they manage a business and at the end this report will
ends with talent management and organisational culture.

Management structure and business functions
Organisational structure will define that who will report to whom and who will order to
whom within an organisation. There are various kinds of organisational structure which are
mentioned below-
Hierarchical organisational structure- This is the organisational structure where the
division of power and authority is shared from top-to- down level which means the people
having higher position in the organisation will gain higher authority and vice versa. The
advantage of this structure is that it help the employees to identify their needs and
responsibilities appropriately (Gaspary, Moura and Wegner, 2020). Disadvantage of this
organisational structure is that it slower down the innovation activities due to increase in
autocratic leadership in the organisation.
Functional organisational structure- Here, the authority and power is shared from top-
to down- structure but here, employees are arranged according to their specialisation which
means marketing specialist employees are providing authority related to marketing activities.
They are assigned a departmental manager to manage their employees. This structure have the
advantage of allowing employees to focus on their roles and responsibilities which they will well
known by this structure. On the other hand, disadvantage of this organisational structure is that it
create silos in the organisation.

et. al., 2019) (Moellering, 2019). They convey this information to production function which are
responsible to produce goods and services. Marketing function collect the information and
convey it to production function so that they will produce their goods according to needs and
wants of customers.

like customers influencing factors, their preferences and many others and they convey this to
sales function which use those factors in influencing customers to purchase the products which
