INTRODUCTION
In this presentation the details regarding the set of soft skills and personal attributes
learned in the course work of online learning are outlined which is requirement of the 21st
Century.
This defines the capabilities developed during the coursework. Goals are defined which
are set as key skills that I want to have by the end of this unit and also by the end of course.
My areas of Expertise
 Persistence:
This is my best skills as an online learning student. I am always willing to respond to the
technical problems and seek help as when needed. I work on every class every day and persist
through challenges.
 Effective and appropriate communication Skills
As an online learner I posses a good communication skill as needed to communicate to the tutors
specially in case when I need help with regard to my coursework and unit. With this I have a
good command over the language when writing to the tutors by writing e-mails or
communicating through chatroom as I write in full, grammatically correct sentence and
respectful notes.
 Basic technical skills:
I have basis technology knowledge and skills in as crating a new document, use the word
processing program, negativing the internet and downloading software. Along with this I make
sure to check the website of the coursework for any updates and new technical skill requirement
fr the online learners.
My current knowledge of the online environment:
1. Online discussions: by asking open ended question
The coursework is related with online learning and this can prove to be difficult in understanding
what is being taught and sometimes I face challenges related with time managements and
sometimes with the languages as well. For the problem related with understanding of class notes
I commence a communication and ask open ended question in the online classes. The teacher and
other students in the online discussion helps me through solving my problems and clearing all
the doubts.

The issues related with the language the tutors helps me to read along with audio books and to
hear how the speaker pronounces and enunciate different works and phrases. The free app
provides to the students also improvise the skills as siting both my problems effectively.
2. Active listing reinforcement:
Communication is one of the key skills I possess and this is not restricted to just speaking or
listing in the online classes. It has a wider scope and in this the teacher aids me to improvising
my listing skills by reading a selection of the text aloud and then have a class concussion and
reflect the content.
Units Goals:
The goals that I want to achieve by the end of this unit are which are required to have as a
professional skills in the 21st century:
1. Strong reading skills and critical thinking
By the end of this unit I have set a target to achieve a strong reading skill set in order to
communicate effectively. As most of the material in the online class comes from textbooks and
written lectures therefore effective reading and critical thnivlkinng skill is very important to have
for the success in the online course.
2. Time commitment:
Being an online learner classes are always online and it takes as much time as regular campus
classes. With this I need to set aside sufficient time for study and for the same I have planned to
spend as much time working on the assignment and studying as well.
Course Goals:
by the of this course the set of skills which is set as a goal to be achieved as a requirement of
professional necessity in the 21st century:
 Information and technology literacy:
This is most importance skills which is to have and need to access the technology without any
trouble as this is the current professional necessity. By the end of this course I have set a target to
develop enhanced knowledge and skills regarding the use of computers as well other relevant
technology.
 Collaboration:
To work effectively in the profession world one of the skill required is collaborating with the
peers as well as the management in the business. In this course I will develop a skill to

collaborate with the teachers bad other students though the online source with development a
style to effectively communication and collaborating with people when not present in person.

The set of skills I have are basis computer knowledge and communication skill.
