Abstract
IoT is defined as the internet of things which is a kind of system that connects
physical devices with objects and computer systems. Mainly, it uses internet connection
for interconnecting computer devices with other physical devices (Krasniqi, & Hajrizi,
2016). The use of the internet of things is increasing rapidly because of their ability to
control and manage computer and electronic devices from any location. The topic of this
study is very important from the perspective of the research because in this generation
every company uses IoT devices in their business and it is very significant to find how
automobile industry uses IoT enables devices. The major goal of this investigation is to
examine the key aspects of IoT technology and analyse the role of IoT in the area of the
automobile industry. Today, many automobile companies are using IoT technology for
improving their business, in which they use IoT devices in various fields such as in-
vehicle infotainment, predictive maintenance, security and safety, real-time monitoring
and so on. A recent study identified that internet of thing has the potential to control
and monitor the IT infrastructure and system of automobile industries more effectively
and also improve the overall performance of their services (Wang, Chaudhry, & Li,
2016). There are numbers of research methods used in this research paper which
includes qualitative research design, research approach, secondary data collection
method, content analysis process for analysing the obtained data. This research mainly
focused on the importance of internet of thing in automobile industry and issues linked
with IoT. From this study, it is identified that IoT is an advanced computer technology
that changed the way of communication and provided a platform to the companies for
controlling their devices and systems. It is concluded that IoT helps the automobile
industry to perform their activities and services in an effective manner and they also
monitor their computer devices very easily.
