Report
AI Summary
This report examines the Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare, focusing on its increasing role through smart home care, robotics, smart pills, and real-time health systems via remote monitoring. The report identifies key problems, including the integration of EHR systems, interoperability issues, and data security concerns related to HIPAA compliance. It highlights the need for improved data security and recommends storing patient data securely. The research aims to raise awareness about IoT healthcare and its potential future applications, while also addressing its existing challenges and suggesting potential solutions. This student contributed the assignment to Desklib, a platform that provides AI-based study tools for students.

Purpose: the purpose of the report is to complete a research paper on the Internet of things
Healthcare.
Topic: I have to choose IoT Health Care as the topic for a research paper. The digital
transformation of healthcare is increasing in such ways as smart home care, robotics, smart pills,
and real-time health system by remote monitoring with the medical device. The new ideas are
going to innovate through various new applications like OpenAPS, connected inhalers and many
more (Davis, 2017).
Expected format of the report: the format of the IoT health care report has the format which
starts with the purpose of the report and continues with topic and statement and ends with a
summary.
Problem Statement: during write this report of IoT health care, I think about some problems
and discussed them with the lecturer as note them. The problems are:
Integration of EHR system: the patient data regarding activity, level of glucose, vital signs are
not centralized and saved properly in the system.
Interoperability issue: the data of the patient is locked in one IoT device and patient need to use
another device for the data(Chouffani, 2016).
Data security issue: data collected from various devices and transfer to one destination. It is
required to HIPAA for security but lack of HIPAA, FDA (Food and drug administration) process
is used (Gold, 2017).
Summary: the context of the research is to aware the people about the IoT Health Care, to told
them to use it in future time. The purpose of the report is to search for IoT Healthcare, its issues,
expected formats with the problem statement and discuss these things with the lecture. The major
finding of the report includes the issues of IoT health care, which includes, authentication,
encryption, data transmission, the system integration with EHR and interoperability issues. The
conclusion of the report successfully discusses the IoT Healthcare with issues and
recommendation. The recommendation of IoT health care is to improve the security of the
patient data which require storing in the same device (Guluzadeh, 2016).
