Introduce the Problem or Challenges
There are different problems and challenges associated with the use of the problems
and challenges associated with the use of IoT devices in the automobile industry. It can be
said that there are numerous privacy and security issues regarding the use of the machine type
communication technology which are increasingly used in the SUV automobiles used in the
smart city (Weis et al., 2017). At the same time, it can also be said the signalling is a huge
concern for the consumers of the automobile industry. The extensive development in the field
of Information Technology has resulted in the use of numerous sensory devices such as the
temperature sensors which are based on the IoT concept, the incorporation of the sensory
devices have numerous compatibility issues with each of the smart car (Wang, Chaudhry &
Li, 2016). There are security concerns for the multi-representation based data processing
architecture, which is the other challenge regarding the use of the IoT devices in the
automobile industry. There are privacy concerns regarding the use of the in-car navigation
facility for the consumers of the automobile industry. The vehicle simulation tools which are
used in the automobile industry also have numerous security issues as they are connected
with the private network. Most of the automobiles are now connected to the cloud servers
which can be a significant factor behind security issues such as ransomware
(Thirunavukkarasu et al., 2018). The vehicle to cloud technology also has security issues
which can have a huge impact regarding the growth and progress of this industry. At the
same time, it can also be said that the management systems which are integrated in the
automobile also have numerous security concerns which are needed to be solved in the first
place so that the usability of the IoT devices in the automobile industry is maintained. The
ensuing unit of the paper will be introducing the problem and the domain regarding the use of
the IoT devices in automobile industry.

3IOT IN AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY
Introduction to the problem and domain
The use of IoT based devices is very much important for the automobile industry. It
can be said that there are both positive as well as negatives associated with the use of IoT
devices in the automobile industry. The security challenges can have an undesirable impact
on both the manufacturers as well as the consumers of the automobile industry. The prime
problem of this domain is the design issue of the IoT devices. Most of the IoT devices which
are used in the automobile industry have issues such as traffic congestion as most of the IoT
devices are connected with the cloud servers (Krasniqi & Hajrizi, 2016). Traffic congestion is
huge issues for most of the cloud servers as it can lead to numerous security issues. The
implementation of the IoT devices in the smart cars are based on numerous implementation
models and the limitations of the implementation model can have an undesirable effect on the
consumers as well as the manufacturers of the IoT devices (Pawar & Rizvi, 2018). It can be
said that each of the IoT based devices which are used in the smart cars has scalability as well
as mobility issues, which is a serious concern for the users of the IoT devices. The scalability
and the mobility patterns of the IoT devices should be managed in a useful manner using the
risk management plan (Dhall & Solanki, 2017). It can be said that the IT risk governance plan
can be very much important to deal with the privacy issues of the IoT devices. The scalability
issues of the IoT devices such as the horizontal scalability as well as the vertical scalability is
a huge worry for the consumers of the automobile industry. The structure of the paper will be
discussed in a structured manner in the following section of the paper.
Structure of the report including which section covers what
The above section of the paper helps in understanding the challenges of the use of IoT
devices in the automobile industry. Most of the challenges of the IoT devices are taken from
the point of different scholars who have stated their opinion about the privacy and security
