The purpose of this report is aimed at providing an insight on the influence of technology
on the various aspects of our well-being. Throughout this report, the general view regarding
technology will be narrowed down to one aspect that will be discussed on a lens, weighing its
pros and cons and important concerns related to the subject issue.
With regards to the internet things Farming has been on a standout, choosing the farming
aspect will provide ground to learn the influence of technology, emerging invention and
innovation in the field and their effect on the better yielding and allocation of resources. The
20th century has exceptionary set a landmark of mechanical innovations, like tractors and
threshers. In the present day, the Internet of Things (IoT) has been attributed to be a vital pillar
for the improved agrarian production at a cheaper cost; this phenomenon is widening the door for
engineers to bring more inventions and innovations of smart farming and agricultural sensor to
the market (Vermesan & Friess, 2013).
IoT in farming would entail farm vehicle tracking, livestock monitoring, storage monitoring,
and other several. For instance:
 Would be easy for livestock farmers to herd their livestock through installation of
livestock sensors which would serve to alert when animals have wandered from the herd.
 In reducing soil borne diseases, having soil sensors to notifying farmers the changing
conditions of the soil.
The IoT in farming will see off increase in production of agricultural products, according to
the present trend the survey conducted (Perera et al, 2016) suggests that the IoT’s in the next 10

years will experience an increase thus reducing the human labor through the remote controlled
farming machineries.
Format of the report
The relevance of the report will be dependent of the structure format taken in presenting the
ideas. I would like the report to follow the informal format to help in informing, analyzing and
recommending. This format will work in a controversial tone, providing personal evaluation,
expert evaluation through the literature reviews.
An introduction of the report would entail explaining the problem issue of the report and the
reason for the report. The body as the second part after the abstract will entail several titles and
subtitles, for instance the review of literature, materials, methods of research and findings.
